Way to choke those front fans. Badly designed case, no way should this be approved. Much better cases can be had for similar money.

How does this get "G3D Approved" with such terrible airflow and thermals? If the bar is set that low, then what doesn't get G3D Approved? 🙄

The case has just as much front panel airflow as it does personality..... Apparently boring looking cases, with minimal front panel airflow is the new trend....

Yeah, I mean I don't tend to look at "personality" and looks when choosing a new case but funcionality is key. I haven't bought a case in like... 10 years or so, still rocking my CM 690 Advanced II and it does a good job but next time I do a CPU + motherboard upgrade, I'm getting a new case. This case would never cut it for me. I can honestly say I would never consider it because there's simply better cases out there. So why should I? In fact, you could pay me £100 to replace my old case with this and I'd still say no. Because it's not worth the effort of swapping the rig out and the terrible thermals.

They approve pretty much anything. I don't tend to read the reviews on here because there's better reviews all over the internet but I can't remember seeing something being not approved. Maybe I'm missing something, I don't know.

That's the main reason for the relatively poor airflow (seen in the Air version of the test system). Approved =/= recommended or Top Pick. It's granted here for the good quality, the GPU holder, magnetic side panels, child lock - which are not a standard in this budget. 🙄

If you add at least one fan at the front it's much better. But as we test the chassis with the default configuration, you see what it is for the air-cooled system.

But still, you did read that, right? No award? Here for example -> https://www.guru3d.com/articles_pages/aorus_liquid_cooler_360_review,11.html Also, at the very end: "Speaking of which, the price is 69.99 USD, so we can grant the “Approved” award here, for the nice compromise between features and price. If we could have some upgrade suggestions, then we’d say: switch to 4-pin fans and add least one extra fan at the front. This would surely improve performance in air-cooled systems. Please use the thumbscrew for the PCI slots and some stronger magnets for the side panel would also be welcome. And one last thing – how about a mesh version for a notch more airflow?" You now see what I've meant when judging. Yes, also the airflow is mentioned. Surprised? If we'd give only the top numbers, we wouldn't even mention any faults... Or am I wrong?

I never doubted that there's reviews that don't get an "award" of some sort. I just can't remember seeing one in ages. I don't read all the reviews on here anyway, reason being I find better reviews on other sites. I still wouldn't approve a case at $69.99 when there's much better options out there. I would have ended the review stating this is a case I would NOT recommend in the current market, when competition do a much better job. If your budget is around $70, these are the cases I would look into (and then list and link those cases). There's simply no way I would have "approved" such a mediocre and underwhelming product. EDIT: Adding another fan would take this to around $90, again, there's a plethora of cases that people should buy at that price ahead of this. Mesh would save this case, then I would understand the "approved" rating but not in it's current state. No chance.

Gosh, I tried so hard to not comment here, but I can't. Have you even read other Deepcool Gamer Storm Macube 310P reviews? Raving, all of them including multiple and many awards. I think we have the most caring and honest written review available, but hey you did not even read it, as there are so much better reviews on the web? Gosh, what an insult is that. An approved award pretty much is the lowest ranking one from us. The world is on fire, people are passing away everywhere, despite it all we continue working and bring you objective content, reviews, news, downloads and a friendly helpful place to hang out, each and every day .. we are not perfect, we are human too - but this is what we get and have to take? A complete bitch-fest over an award? Not once, not twice, nope .. four times. At this point, I am speechless as to what I am reading from you..

No I haven't read any other Deepcool Gamer Storm Macube 310P reviews. I'm kinda miffed as to what point you're trying to make. Do I have to read other reviews before I comment? I did read the review on here though. I don't read case reviews in general, let me explain why. It's because I change my case a lot less often than I do other components. Like I said, I've had my case for quite a few years and it served me well, but I clearly see it's shortcomings so next time I rip out my rig, I'll be getting a new case to go with it and that's when I'll look at case reviews more in depth. I still kinda keep in touch with what's new though. Would I "approve" my case these days to those who are buying a new case though? No chance. When I say there's better reviews out there, I mean it. I generally mean gpu and cpu reviews. I like to see new games tested and charts updated and I like to see 0.1 and 0.01 percentiles in these charts. They actually mean quite as much as average numbers, in general. That being said, I still read the reviews on here, they're a good baseline so respect for that. And for cases, I would much prefer a video review because seeing a case in a video and seeing a build put in it in a video beats reading walls of text. That's my opinion, sure. And if I'm honest, I was probably at the wrong place at the wrong time, otherwise I would not have read the review. But I was browsing the forum and this popped up on the top of the sub forum so I clicked on it. And I read it. My bad. I'll ask you this, Hilbert... And please be honest. If someone came to you with $70 to spend on a case, would you approve this case? Or would you suggest something better? I know you didn't write the review, but I'd like to hear your opinion. No hard feelings and I'm happy to discuss this with you privately, in case you have any questions. You do a great job running this site and the forum is fantastic, but I see some reviews and I cringe a little. Nobody is perfect, I get that. But we all have our opinions. You disagree with mine and I disagree with the review rating because I don't think that case should be approved. No matter what approved means. Because for someone unfamiliar with your ratings, it could mean it's a solid choice. Which it's not. Keep safe out there.

I mean it's not like thermal performance in this case is god awful, it's definitely still within reasonable performance I'd say. Modern systems wouldn't have any issues in this case. I'd buy this case for $70. Looks to be a solid build quality, decent features you don't see on a lot of $70 cases, and doesn't look too hard to build in.
