Nobody - will pay an extra €30 for every fancy aerial thing on a new router. ASUS - yes

Wake up very early in morning before your wife and put this on the pillow next to her. And just wait for the blood curdling scream when she wakes up. 😀

What do I feed this thing? Do I need a terrarium for it?

You can get a whole two floor mesh network for the same amount of money! Truly a device for those with more money than sense. You lose out on the ports even by setting them up to be in 2.5 gb/s mode! At that money I would expect them to be at a minimum that much built in!

These 16k are for those who want dual band 5 plus a 6. My last Asus ax11k. Died after 2.5 years. Same as then my asus5400. Just replaced it with the new tplink16k. Happy so far. Coverage similar. Interface is much simpler. Yet adequately robust.b we will see if it outlasts the 2 years where the where last two Asus and Netgear nighthawk all started dying at.

Mesh networks work best if you can connect them by Ethernet. Otherwise they will saturate one band just with backhaul.
