ha awesome, i have a feeling vega 10 will fight the 1080ti, will probably knock the sh!t out of the 1080, but we shall see. Anyway can't wait, i really want to go back to full AMD system: Zen + Vega10 😛c1:

Isnt the GDDR5x also suffering from low availability? 1080 was paper launch for many. You still have to wait quite a bit after you order one.
HBM2 looks promissing.

IMHO Amd is going in the right direction marketing wise, Polaris is being hyped, now they are already starting with Vega. however they should also make commercials to show on websites or tv to reach non geeks :P

Will be interesting to see just how many people will buy that 480. Steam stats will be a good indicator

How on earth we keep looking at the production of HBM while in reality these high end cards only cater to a tiny minority. They are struggling to produce HBM for a card that will only have a 2% market share.
If AMD wanted to bring HBM to all their cards i could understand but they only want it for a tiny amount of enthusiasts which is confusing. I bet this is just a BS excuse.
AMD is behind not because of HBM but because Nvidia is just miles ahead in R&D.

Have a feeling Vega will be a winner this time around (esp comparing to Fiji). Mainly due to the fact that the launch date has been brought forward by several months.

YES! The AMD coming back....
Vega 10 14nm with 8Gb HBM2 will smash the GTX 10xx! Because it will be more powerful? Yes, could be, but will smash because it will cost too much less then GTX 10xx series, and now they are too expensive.
I think AMD will, until the end of this year, win a expressive market share to fight face a face with Nvidia.
I HOPE SO! I BELIEVE!: 🤓

Looking forwards to AMD releasing this generation of cards , i'm wanting to go back to a single GPU setup that will power my 1440p monitor , but i'm not liking the price of the 1080 at all, so maybe a move to AMD for me , im just hoping that this new gen of cards from AMD are on par with the 1080 at what i would call a reasonable price...

Vega 10 the Bigger & Vega 11 the Smaller not otherwise.
Just like the Polaris 10 and 11 were Polaris 10 the bigger chip similar is the case with Vega 10 and 11 were Vega 10 is the bigger chip that holds 6144 stream processors that is designed to compete with Nvidia GP100. Vega 11 on the other hand is the smaller Vega that competes with GTX1080 which is rumored to launch on this October.
According to vrworld:
"....Vega 10 will be the most advanced silicon AMD has ever produced. Featuring 14nm FinFET design by GlobalFoundries or Samsung, with SK.Hynix HBM2 memory modules on multi-chip-module, i.e. MCM (TSMC calls this CoWoS), Vega 10 is looking to offer equal or higher performance than the high-end GP100."

Maybe Raja should stop hyping up AMD's products. The last products were good but ultimately disappointing due to hype. I just don't get this about AMD.
Many people believe AMD to be a charity for some reason. Of course they wouldn't price it better, look at Fury X. Same price as the 980 Ti yet not up there in performance (custom).
Yeah it has watercooling, but it serves limited purpose when that card refuses to overclock properly. Bit of a disaster really.
Vega 11 will likely be priced the same as the future Ti/Titan.
