Nvidia could change it also instead of using that 20 year old laggy control panel.
nvidia maintains a far larger database of game settings, fixes, overrides and well... hacks, than amd does and provides access to the user to do what they need to
reading this binary and manifesting it in Profile Inspector isn't any faster, theres no safe way to async the load and display - trust me.... i'm still working through some async resource loading corruption (i hate dotnet).
Believe AMD does this differently and builds most of the overrides into the drivers themselves and doesn't present half as much control over them, right, so theres a lot less to load, also nothing on the level of nvapi?
my own experience with the radeon adrenaline and later panels hasn't shown them to perform faster once you've actually navigated to and found the location of the setting you want to change..... i've actually found intel's better in that regard.
Also radeon settings actually uses less PC resources...it is some magic I do not get. Also will be waiting for Jonas's analysis.
I'll need to see Process monitor screenshots before I believe that, GFE is just a nasty chromium portal, Radeon settings is a dotnet 4 + chromium portal. (and dotnet file scanners are horrible for memory use)

Lets wait for the new drivers first. Didnt had an nvidia card for a long time to compare.
Agreed, they were taking a lot of feedback for the amount of clicks to get to settings locations on the previous interface, maybe they streamlined it a bunch.
sudden last minute issues all I can say i cannot even give a clue it should already be out...best I can say. I know everyone here really wants it. It will be out as soon as possible.
Update: the driver release is delayed we'll update once available, from AMD:
We are excited to release Radeon Software Adrenalin 2020 Edition later today. The WHQL package certification is being finalized and we will make it available to all our users as soon as possible.
In the mean time. My crappy Nvidia drivers just keeps wanting to add more TSR's to my windows that don't appear to do anything but take up memory, hasn't change their GUI since the Reagan administration and if you try to manually grab your own drivers from the website they artificially slow the download to like 56K....., beeep, booop, grrrrrrrr. Thanks Nvidia.
