Despite the intial price shock, I think there is an actual reason they are so expensive , the tu102 ( 2080ti ) is 754mm^2 which is "YUGE", its 60% larger than the last gen GP102 and on a similar process node , the yields on that sucker are probably terrible, same goes for the tu104 538mm^2 (2080)which is also larger than the 1080ti's gp102 , unless they have some magic beans , pretty sure the margins are going to be significantly worse than pascal despite the price increase.
