Davud:

Dimensions based on 2080 reference size and scaled PCI:
why are you "scaling" PCI? because 3090's PCI looks like it's 6% longer? jesus.... @Astyanax started this garbage, but I was convinced someone was going to notice the guy was wrong for the jizzilionth time. But noooo... 3090 is a triple slot card. Therefore PCIe is that closer to a camera. So of course its PCI is going to look bigger - WHEN ITS CLOSER TO A FUKING CAMERA.
See that cra p PCB is sitting on? https://abload.de/img/nvidia-geforce-rtx-305zjgh.jpg Compare that to 2080 FE where there is only few mm between PCB and flat backside. https://abload.de/img/40906_nvidia_rtx_2080nyjp5.jpg
Man that thing is huge!!!
Devid:

Price leak: 3060 400 3070 600 3080 800 3090 1400 So and extra 15- 20% performance will cost £/$600 between 3080 and 3090. Thanks nVidia you can keep it to yourself. I hope Big Navi will be really big this time and I'll go for read team.
I really hope those prices are completely wrong, more than 400€ for a 3060 and more than 600€ for a 3070!!! F*** it! Nvidia can keep them if that´s correct!

one day you'll learn how perspective works, since its literally used in speed camera's to correct for slight bends in the road and not screw up the reading. if you can adjust the size so a part you know NEVER changes size matches, you'll be able to estimate the rest of the part. its a thing commonly done in construction, architecture, drawn art, etc.

Good job being a numpty and referring to a fan made dissection of the 3080. https://www.pyimagesearch.com/2016/03/28/measuring-size-of-objects-in-an-image-with-opencv/ learn ffs.

500€ rtx3060 isnt far fetched, actually it will become a reality soon. To think its a low tier card, 3070 should be midrange. How fucked up is that. Might as well go console this gen unless amd turns this madness around.

No sht Einstein. Yet here you are claiming:
Astyanax:

The pictures are not taken side by side, any attempts to determine the length will be incorrect.
One sitting next to the other. How much more side by side do you need them to be to come up with the length
data/avatar/default/avatar31.webp
The pictures have been taken by a smartphone camera with an equivalent "wide" focal length of around 28mm with probably a shit load of "badly software corrected" distortion and of top of that at a close distance of probably less than 50cm, trying to guess the real size or how it compares to actual know product is just a waist of time. we are not even 100% sure it is legit final product. Just wait 10 days until the final revealing to complain about size and/or tdp. Edit: if it is legit, just look at it as an approximation of its size, nothing more.

And within the context of the original un-scaled pictures this is correct.

No it's not. Anway I am to blame for confusion because I misunderstood your stupid "The pictures are not taken side by side" and wrongly assumed you was in the "fake pics" boat. Different PCIe sizes being a "proof" of alleged image tampering.

"The pictures are not taken side by side"
the shadowing is all wrong to have even thought for a moment both cards were layed out beside each other 😀

Why are people so caught up in defending the size of it? Whether you like it or not, this thing is in fact huge. Scaling down the size for a more accurate approximation doesn't change the fact this thing is really chonky. Not that it matters. Unless you have an ITX case, this will still fit in most PCs.

ozesniper:

I thought my ASUS ROG STRIX 2080TI was huge but OMG this is insane. I hope it comes with a GPU Support bracket, My card already sags!
My MSI1080Ti GAMING X has the same issue. Even though since moving from x99 to x570, the sag has been reduced significantly even without a bracket. Guess the "reinforced" PCI slots from Gigabyte Aorus Master weren't all marketing after all, but on my Rampage V x99 with plastic ones the sag was real. The 3090 might indeed need that bracket though.

Strijker:

You sure it isn't BIG Navi??
"Big Navi" won't need that huge cooler. If it is a 80CU chip, it would be less than twice the size of the 5700XT. Almost half of the RTX 3900. That also affects power consumption and heat. If it is a 62CU chip (which I believe will be more likely) physically same size as the Xbox X series APU (the APU is 54CU with 2CU cut off plus CPU etc subsystems) so a standard cooler will do because it wouldn't need that much power.

Damn you were first. :P Yeah seems Fermi is back.

So those nice fins on the front of the card anyone else seeing what looks like a real pain in the neck to clean dust trap?
Shouldn't be a problem for my aircompressor.

I'm hoping my 620W PSU can handle a 3070 or 3060...

Depends on the brand/model and age.

SeaSonic. 3 years old. Yeah, I know... I'll have to buy a new one... To be honest, if I can get a used 1080Ti, that'd work for me. I reckon that card would be compatible with my PSU at least, right?
