It will take ten years to fix all the bugs.

All I read is:
10 years of monetization is what he sees. With a couple of expansion DLCs (for 30 quid), extra costs for cosmetics maybe, people paying for Bethesda mods, and playing this game in online multiplayer to maybe sell some form of weird in game currency.
THEN they will re-release it every other year for three or four times, so they can do another 10 year edition, all the while offering nothing new...
Probably re-releasing it again with the next console generation to sell it to people who have already played it for years, just because they buy new hardware too.
How about you, Phily boy, go right back to where you came from and tell them devs that I'm waiting on the next TES game for 12 years already. You 10 year plan is baby diaper filling because I've already not given in to your TESO and FO76 BS for longer than you can hope to monetize your games. And unless you're giving me that, Skyrim's full successor, I won't play any Bethesda games anymore. Because I'm actually fed up with their focus on everything but really creating a successor to their arguably most successful game just because they got their pants full to the brim, and an endless pocket when it comes to earning money with past successes.

Didn't they say the same thing for Halo Infinite.

Hard doubt.
I expect this to be like no man's sky but without the good stuff.

So this is a Game As a Service.

I have nothing against people having great success and making bank but I feel maybe theyre counting their money a bit too soon.

You know what would mirror The Elder Scrolls V..... The Elder Scrolls VI in 2040:(

Will it have also 16 times the detail?
I am at a point in my life where every time a company says something like that I assume the opposite as a standard.

Pfff... Bethesda is dead. So lets see, if this brings them back. I somehow feel like there will be A LOT of unpleasant surprises for gamers. And TES 6? I doubt they can even create anything like TES5 after all those years. And this dude? Big talk can be precursor to big fail. All I can see is dollar signs in his corrupted eyes. This will be a "nice" contrast to Baldurs Gate 3 approach I feel. Time will tell. Will be waiting at the bay area, to test it.

Did Phil just drop the release date for ESVI??

What's annoying me is that they are already talking about expansions before the games even released. At least with No Mans Sky they gave all those patches and updates for free.

Well, i still fire up Skyrim in both normal and VR, same with Fallout 4 normal and VR, and i completed F3 and FNV on ever system, so i will give Bethesda their due, their games just seem to defy you ever being finished with them, and i would would bite the hands of them for a next gen remaster of F3 and FNV in a heartbeat.

I am actually glad they went for new IP , we need something new as far it is not infested with surprise mechanics !
