Woo~! PC Sims... wish it could simulate the performance of what you built not just appearances. Like you can install your steam account, then play your games using the PC you created virtually! PC components price increase problem solved!!!

IMO, anyone who cannot already build his own box in his head has no business building his own box, yet, imo. Sites like PC Partpicker are OK, but once a person becomes experienced enough to disagree occasionally with third-party hardware recommendations because of prior experience--he's ready to start building his own boxes. And the more of them you build, the more you come to understand *why* 1st-tier hardware is often worth the extra money charged over components that are bargain basement (and that driver support is equally as important as the hardware itself) , and the better you get at it. I've been "rolling my own" since 1994...;) I'll never buy another pre-built OEM box again. Experience is the key to the kingdom!

^^^I bought my first PC from Dixons in 94 for a whopping £700, and unknown to me at the time it was worth about half that, a 386 25mhz, with no sound card,1 meg of mem, and Dos 3 BUT, here is the positive that came from that, because i had to install my own sound card and some extra memory, and even a co-proccessor, that lead to me directly to building my own PC's after that, so in a way Dixons actually saved me money in the log run. lol
