Neo Cyrus:

5060 will be slower than the 4060 but advertised as 4x faster using Ultra Leather Jacket DLSS Sigma 3.14159 in a scenario that doesn't actually exist. Don't you want that sweet new path tracing that doesn't actually path trace and looks like ass? You must buy the RTX 5K series. "The incredible RTX 5060 3.5GB Edition starts at $1500 USD MSRP, take it or leave it, plebeians." - Jensen Huang Thank you leather demon, very cool.
RTX5070 16gb for 899-999$ is very plausible scenario. Slap the DLSS4 feature on it and make it 4x faster than 4090 marketing, amazing.

You really really hate yourself for buying that 4090 don't you xD

Curious to see how this works in practice. Would be great to reduce the RT bottleneck hardware still has. I do wonder if RR will end up looking more like (a better) engine generated shadows and reflections rather than a pathed RT experience, like the image of the car (7th image) in the post.

You know it bro, fomo + more fomo is a hell of a drug. I was afraid if I waited any longer my 3080 would lose the large resale value it had. That and the 7900XTX I ordered an eternity ago at that point never showed up... bringing the next best 7900XTX choice way too close in price to this 4090. Anyway, back on topic, Jensen eats newborn babies every morning. Actually on topic, I legitimately am afraid nVidia will just keep using DLSS XYZ gimmicks as an excuse to sell dogshit relative to the prices to keep up unsustainable/unrealistic profit margins.

Fake graphics cards Jensen edition.
Forgot they also deployed something since RTX 20 series, fake prices. Price Upscaling(TM)

sound like they gona castrate card more next gen and then have there "ai" fake more performance so long as said DLSS actual on but if it is off it will barely match the already joke 4xxx series pricing for less All charts going foward will be DLSS vs DLSS with and with out FG, they will never show raw performance again! 🙄

I definitely hear what you're saying. DLSS is a great technology, but I really don't like how they gimped the 4060 series with the low memory bandwidth and only allowed early reviews of Cyberpunk to be tested at their own requested specs.

AI will be so good we will regress to software again and just use a CPU.

Bash NVIDIA all you want, atleast they're spending the money earned on R&D. Meanwhile AMD spends their R&D money buying out exclusives and getting nowhere.

I don't actually care, I buy what is right for my personal use, the companies don't care about us so I am unsure of why you think this way.

Don't like your character model? Can't be the gender or species you want? Nvidia Rechar let's you reskin your character how you choose without the need for mods.

Yes, but also they are addressing problems of their own implementation of raytracing, which is the tech they have very aggressively been pushing from the start. I am curious to see whether the new unreal engine has the same noise issue when raytracing is better incorporated into the core engine. I know it's already referenced here, but a comparison in techs would be very interesting https://docs.unrealengine.com/5.0/en-US/hardware-ray-tracing-in-unreal-engine/

Don't like your character model? Can't be the species or gender you want? Check out Nvidia's Rechar. AI generated overlay for you to play as who you were really meant to be without the need for mods.

Denial:

The official Nvidia blog says it works on all RTX GPUs - which is really nice.. but it is kind of sad that the first thing I thought was it was going to be locked behind some arbitrary hardware requirement. In the video there seems to be some tradeoffs: https://i.imgur.com/7pdpMU7.png You're obviously gaining some occlusion on the debris floor objects but it looks like it wipes the white texture off the red retaining wall in the middle of the image. I think I still prefer the occlusion if I have to make the trade but hopefully issues like this will be worked out.
You mean it will work on my RTX 3080? Because to me it seems more Nvidia Marketing.

This. Nvidia at least moves tech forward. And that benefits gamers. AMD fanboys will argue otherwise. But who cares. Not my loss.

Youre getting the best gaming experience available Neo. everything else is just noise. 🙂

All progress in this area is always good and welcomed. NVidia has some of their best people working in this stuff. I'm very impressed with the visual quality improvements I see running certain games (eg Fortnite) on the 4080 compared to the son in next room running the same game on a 3070 - mine looks an awful lot better then his. Anyone know if/when Epic is going to upgrade to 3.5 in UE5.x? Will this new ray-reconstruction come to Fortnite at all?

The fact that we can render ray tracing as is is impressive enough. Game developers could only dream about this in the 90's.

AMD certainly doesn't care about us with their anti-consumer upscaling blocking. If NVIDIA wouldn't care they wouldn't have made RTX Remix open source back in February this year, and actively work together with the modding community. But i guess if you're not following all that closely you'd have no clue what is actually going on.

Upscale blocking... no evidence of this yet. PhysX, Gameworks, Intel compiler? If you want to get into semantics we can. Neither company gives the slightest of figs. It's all for money and we are pawns.
