Curious to see how this works in practice. Would be great to reduce the RT bottleneck hardware still has. I do wonder if RR will end up looking more like (a better) engine generated shadows and reflections rather than a pathed RT experience, like the image of the car (7th image) in the post.

sound like they gona castrate card more next gen and then have there "ai" fake more performance so long as said DLSS actual on but if it is off it will barely match the already joke 4xxx series pricing for less
All charts going foward will be DLSS vs DLSS with and with out FG, they will never show raw performance again! 🙄

AI will be so good we will regress to software again and just use a CPU.

Bash NVIDIA all you want, atleast they're spending the money earned on R&D. Meanwhile AMD spends their R&D money buying out exclusives and getting nowhere.

Don't like your character model? Can't be the gender or species you want? Nvidia Rechar let's you reskin your character how you choose without the need for mods.
Yes, but also they are addressing problems of their own implementation of raytracing, which is the tech they have very aggressively been pushing from the start. I am curious to see whether the new unreal engine has the same noise issue when raytracing is better incorporated into the core engine. I know it's already referenced here, but a comparison in techs would be very interesting

All progress in this area is always good and welcomed. NVidia has some of their best people working in this stuff.
I'm very impressed with the visual quality improvements I see running certain games (eg Fortnite) on the 4080 compared to the son in next room running the same game on a 3070 - mine looks an awful lot better then his.
Anyone know if/when Epic is going to upgrade to 3.5 in UE5.x? Will this new ray-reconstruction come to Fortnite at all?
