Glad I pre-ordered the Ti now. I have a 4K monitor but not a great one only capable of 60Hrtz so I was happy with just being able to hit 60FPS. Also I would have been impressed anyways since I'm coming from an old GTX970. I'm excited to see how my HTC Vive works with the new card and trying to boost the resolution on some of the games that struggled with the old 970.

Ok, now Im starting to believe a little.
I'll start believing when 3rd party reviews are starting to pop up with tests and benchmarks done by themselves in their own computers. Especially one from Hilbert. ... oh wait, that's not believing, it's measuring. Also known as "science".

At best it's benchmark measuring since to be considered science all reviewers would need the same consistent platforms and conditions to truly prove something is what it is purported to be. Every reviewers system will be different and their takes will also be different so nothing really scientific about.

So tiny bit faster then 1080ti.. that said 2070 will be between 1080 and 1080ti. Maybe near 1080ti if OCed to max.

So... even without RTX rendering... even without DLSS... none of the mentioned games in that bar diagram show below 30% performance gain... 😱

ok now we can talk something after the officail nv x better slides. 1080ti performance around? well tbh it would be less stupid of me to buy a 20ti then when I got a og titan and that other titan for games and 1k+ price tag been rolling on a 750ti far too long just hoping its a fun card to mod

Those DLSS numbers are amazing (if true). I was hoping that it would be so much faster then ordinary AA methods, and it looks to be quite the case. Gains in that magnitude should also motivate a lot of developers to support DLSS, so that should be good.

If you're going to mod that's something I'd like to see!

While I'm taking that chart with a grain of salt, I'm looking forward to see DLSS way more than ray tracing.

@Hilbert Hagedoorn Can you please expand on "DLSS is not game specific, and in the future should work on most game titles." Was it enabled outside of the game's own settings? I mean to ask, how have you determined that it's not game specific, it's AI based so I imagine it needs to be trained on ground truth? Thanks.
In the presentation it was said that the algorithm needs to be trained for the specific games, so developers can submit it to NVIDIA for training on their super computer, and then basically just enable it once the data is available. Sounds to me like it sort-of is game specific, but perhaps easy to use.

So tensor cores are not a quadro exclusive? we get them too? I understand the bump, basically you disable AA from game setting and free shader resources, and you get it back from the tensor core, on top of it.

Yes, Tensor Cores are a key component of the RTX framework, so they'll be available at least on the 2070, 2080 and 2080Ti as well.

meh so 2070/ti is gona have good chance of running 4k@60fps current games? vs 1070ti, not sure how i feel about this, I just installed Deus EX MD and put everything on very high @ 1080p and as far as i can tell it can do 60fps, i know 4k it can not

me too:D pretty sure the community is gunna need help from insiders that's why the asus brand have been getting my money the last few times. but if there is some baby voltage/bios mods on ref it would be nice being huge and a new fan might make it on the warm side if so that's good, cooling might help more then the cool running power anorexic 10xx cards if I make it passed chilled water I would be happy 😎

Isn't there some ancient proverb about a fool and believing a bar chart with ambiguous numbers and no source data?

the 2070 will be on par with the 1080ti. Give or take 5-10%. The 2080 will crush it and the 2080ti will run circles around it.

hmmm great boobs jiggling on gta is gunna be noiceeee nv will have a great porn library after training that game

That's a nice graph 🙂 But you have to know how to read it... fully. Yes it suggests around 1080 Ti performance, and even >= 2x1080 with DLSS=ON But it also says that DLSS=On tanks GTX 1080, with at least 40% performance hit compared to DLSS=Off With DLSS=On GTX1080 exhibits ~30% bigger perf. hit compared to 2080. Furthermore, with DLSS=On 2080 drops by n% ---> GTX 1080 DLSS perf hit = 30% + n >= 40%

I certainly can't afford one of these new cards. But they look more impressive with everything you read.

well, he was right the last time, and SPOT on if i may say..
His previous rumour had the RTX 2070 with 7GB of VRAM, and had nothing about a RTX 2080 Ti.
