Doubled the prices and (inflation adjusted) Gaming made less than in Q4 2019, which was the last quarter before COVID and mining kicked in. Well done Nvidia. Clearly this strategy is proving to be a runaway success.
Gaming divion is no longer the bulk of their revenue, AI is where Nvidia is focused is this moment.
True, but gaming is still their second largest market.
It's also sad to see NVidia treat gamers like scum, when it was gamers, that for more than a decade were financing the company with their purchases.
Check Automotive & Embedded, as well as Datacenter.
Gaming revenue is down because I bet they don't even allocate production capacity as they used to anymore. Why would you allocate for a $1000 GeForce, when you can do the same for a $5k professional card?

In reality, it's been like that since 2019 and earlier already. It's just that our hobby gives us the sentimental view of it being important to the manufacturers.
edit: My only remaining question will be, can they up the data center revenue enough to make up for lost gaming / visualisation sector? If so, they will probably only get more expensive with the gaming GPUs. If not, we still have a chance to keep PC gaming alive.
Lots of people were thinking 4090 were priced on the low side, consider how slow the 7900XTX is 😉
A Ferrari California is cheap, for an exotic sportscar. Still expensive for a sportscar, or a car in general.
The 4090 was considered cheap compared to a 3090 Ti, which had a price point people also griped about. Only diehard fans think the 7900XTX is comparatively "slow". Overall slower, yes. Slower in RT, absolutely. Just simply "slow", definitely not.
A decrease of 46% YoY in the gaming division. Ouch...
I hate this kind of accountancy bean-counting and corporate/shareholder led thinking.
It turns a positive billions of dollars in profit into a single negative word and percent "DOWN 46%"
This causes huge amounts of problems for the world as those in corporations have trample over millions of people in all sorts of negative ways and possibly destroy the environment just to change this one word DOWN every "quarter" or "YoY"
Imagine if you made billions in profit and some sh1t says "yeah but you're down!". Clown world. And pure greed. This whole shareholder thing was a bad idea.

7900XTX is too slow to play heavy RT games, 4K FSR Performance is a compromise to visual no one is willing to take, so yeah 7900XTX is too slow in modern RT game.

4090 is outselling 4080/7900XTX, so I'm talking about 4090 here?
BTW I'm getting >100FPS with DLSS Q + FG 😉
Why dont you post vram usage on the cards using rt? 4080 is really close being memory limited in this game. 4070ti cant even run it with rt as it has not enough vram.
