some of us don't even keep the gpu for 1-2 years

Some of us enthusiasts don't care about predefined limits or long term reliability.
The card makers were given a choice - stay in limits or offer warranty by yourselves. As you can see, even so-called cards for overclockers were limited.

It would have been nice if nvidia told their AIC partners this before they spent their R&D and production making these cards and false advertising to their consumers. nvidia gave it partners a black eye.

Funny they also maybe gave other lower tier partners a chance to sell some cards since they are all the same now,besides coolers....no reason to spend extra for a 3 yr warrenty card built like a tank. Brands with lifetime warrenty's like pny should pick up sales,should be the go to card for the plug and play crowd.
