I was actually talking about this: scoter man1
Seeing how the absolute cheapest 3000 series card I could buy right now is a $350 RTX3060, they're gonna have to make things more enticing than that. Any of the other steps up still appear to be $600+ which is a definite nope.

They can make it cheaper by reducing the box packaging.

A retrospective reduction refund would be nice too 🙂

I honestly don't know, I don't see this happening. Even if Nvidia "drops (MSRP) prices", that means nothing for street prices at all.

I "might" have bought a 3000 series card if the prices wern't tripled.
Too late, too little campaign much?

1000 series, definitely. 2000 series? That's a tougher sell and will likely be street price dependent.

People are predicting GPU price crash(doom and gloom everywhere)
So just buy when the crash happens in a couple months at lowest prices. RTX 3xxx cards will still work fine and you will have a pleasure PC gaming at max details.
RTX 3090Ti -$600-$700
RTX 3090 - $400-$500
RTX 3080 -$250-$300
BLEH!
Hopefully this will force AMD's hand and cause a reduction in 6K series as well. I'd love a 6800, but I ain't paying over the odds for one.

Nearly all the current GPUs I've looked at - in fact, I think all except for the 3090Ti - are still above their MSRPs. I wouldn't consider buying any of them a good deal. Sure, street prices have declined by over 50% in some instances, but they are still higher than they should be, even if we factor in inflation.

eh 1440p work fine 60fps for game i still play, Though i would not mind 4060 if it like $350 give or take, but would still want it under 200 watts,
Think only game that gave me issue at 1440p was hellblade, that didnt even keep 60 fps at 1080p, though think those were engine issues

I wouldn`t mind buying a 3000 or a 6000 series card if i could find one with good price but they continue expensive as hell...
