Same cost, same performance but some will still throw their Teddy.

Why would Nvidia have used GDDR6X in the first place if threre was no performance impact? 4070 is less powerful than it rightfully should be, so I don't believe there's any margin to cut from.

Watch it have literally half the performance in some games, like the last time they sold two products under the same name, while averaging much lower in most games. I seriously doubt it's going to perform the same.

I read some tests last night, maybe from WC Tech i cant remember as i was flicking through quickly but saw at 1440p some slight increases in some games, don't remember any specifics though, they may have given the VRam a speed bump.

Memory bandwidth didnt drop that much i expect some performance loss at 1440p but not huge.

I didn't know they were selling so may they had to "meet demand"

I'll reserve judgement until I see a thorough review from a trusted source such as HUB or GN, or you know, this place, but I 100% expect it to perform worse in some games anywhere from 1080p to 4K.

Slower ram is slower , so it will be slower but it remains to be seen by how much 1% ? 10%? If it is minimal give it 50 bucks price reduction and people will drop in knees kissing Jensen balls calling him the gaming messiah.

Maybe ddr6x was already bottlenecked by smaller bus, hence when they dropped in lower spec ram, it didn't affect anything? That would be weird though, why add 6x initially, when gpu can't utilize it to full potential? Mr.Vence, 50 dollars is quite a generous price drop. I wouldn't count on it even if Dr.Jensen felt fantastic on that day. Maybe 10-15 dollar drop at most, to be more realistic.

They would only drop the price if performance is that much effected that sales become effected due to competition. Brand loyalty towards NV from the mases means this version might sell just as well even if performance is down a few %
