Yes I got that update a few days ago - don't think it does anything for me though. Only displaying at 1080P still - no 4K use. Shield TV is great. I use my 2017 model every day basically - don't watch broadcast TV any more apart from some catch up streaming of a few programmes. Just Netflix, Youtube, PLEX, Twitch mainly on Shield. Need it because I watch everything on big screen from Sony projector which does not have any smart functionality obviously. So HDMI chain is: Shield TV 2017 -> Sony MDR-HW700DS -> Denon AVR-X3400H -> Sony VPL-HW40ES
