I actually had the Telemetry on my system still after I uninstalled GFE. But you could add 192.229.210.202 (as seen in this wireshark screenshot) to your hosts file if you do feel autoruns is not enough or you reinstall and the settings revert. http://imgur.com/qHomXe2.jpg

Same here, i stopped caring about data collection. It's what happens all day long even when watching TV, making a phone call, cameras in public etc etc. If you're too paranoid about that you might as well go live as a caveman again.
There's nothing paranoid about disliking your personal information being collected.

I just never understood and still don't understand the rampant "my privacy!!" Wtf are you doing on your PC that's so sensitive? I can give a flying **** if they watch my pr0n habits, surfing and gaming. I feel bad for them, it's a pretty boring, average life. The only time this stuff frustrates me is when it starts effecting performance of a game. If everything is running fine. Watch away. And for the "what about secure info like banks, etc" That **** is sitting there for anyone to hack. If it's gonna get hacked, it's gonna get hacked. Give in to Orwells 1984 already, it's not going anywhere.

Telemetry in the driver does not bother me. It's Nvidia. They way more than likely just want to see WHY users are having issues and squash the bugs so they don't have to roll out hotfix drivers nearly as much. I can't see Nvidia doing shady things to people. IF this was some random app on apple/google play that was shady before it was installed...then I'd worry. But again...this is Nvidia. They just want to squash bugs.

Here's Nvidia's statement on it btw:
GeForce Experience collects data to improve the application experience; this includes crash and bug reports as well as system information needed to deliver the correct drivers and optimal settings. NVIDIA does not share any personally identifiable information collected by GeForce Experience outside the company. NVIDIA may share aggregate-level data with select partners, but does not share user-level data. The nature of the information collected has remained consistent since the introduction of GeForce Experience 1.0.The change with GeForce Experience 3.0 is that this error reporting and data collection is now being done in real-time.

You do realize that lots of people use their PCs for more than just gaming or watching porn or visit Facebook??? Lots of people use their PCs, for example, to do some work!!! I know, it must mindblowing to you to realize that people actually use their computers to work!!! Those guys must have some kind of serious mental illness! And because of their work, thay can have important files in theis systems that they want to keep them away from curious eyes... No to mention the possible implications of having organizations knowing every aspect of your life! I could explain some of them but i have better things to do than waste my time stating the obvious...

So the Nvidia statement just confirmed, the telemetry is included in Geforce Experience - that explains why i have no traces of it as i never used or installed this junk, now i wont install this crap ever for sure. 🙂

Look 2 posts up. It is for error reporting. People like you think that somehow these driver's are going to steal you SSN and bank account info... :infinity: That's paranoia. And your example isn't even close to being comparable. Telemetry for drivers is a good thing. Many people aren't smart enough to explain how or what they did when an issue arose or they don't even bother to report the bug in the first place. Therefore many bugs do not get fixed. This solves that.

I found the Telemetry logs they are creating and they are just .txt files, but for the life of me i can't open them to read what's being collected. I even tried to give myself full access to the logs but they are locked down so tight that it makes me suspect them even more. I dont have that since I never install gfe and all that extra bloatware, for me they can add even more bloatware and I'll happily delete all before I press install driver setup.exe. 😀
UHOH! You just gave nvidia an idea, soon the "custom" choice will be removed! lol

dont have any of the installed, then again i dont isntall GFE and i manual extact all files from driver package and manual click setup, which for some reason avoids some there extra stuff seem to get install by using the driver package it self Physx and drivers only

People use them to store and work with sensitive financial records, personal information like health records, family information etc etc.

You don't need to use the "custom" option to remove the files. Just extract the driver to a folder and delete all the files and folders relating to GFE.
