Should make Gabe Newell happy, but Microsoft should really rethink their position. Ratings are there for a reason, there's no need for Microsoft to be a nanny.

I think Microsoft are actually trying to lose as many customers as possible. It would explain a lot.

They can stuff their awful marketplace where the sun doesn't shine. Apple does the App Store right, MS is third rate yet again.
I can imagine Ballmer playing Bad Piggies on his 80" surface!

Great we can't comment on the course MS is taking simply because we are not willing to use one of their upcoming products? Lighten up.

It's not Microsoft, it's your respective countries rating system who is to blame.

Whenever I come upon such nonsense I say to myself:
"Well, well, isn't it just like micro$oft...!"
The other day, a colleague of mine (we are both employed, on a part-time basis as technicians at a small company where we maintain the video-surveillance system) told me, complaining of some people from administration: "It's incredibly illogical (since these people did this-and-that) - makes one think they work for micro$oft''.
I was completely amazed so I replayed: "Oh, c'mmon, they can't be THAT stupid!"...

I could see this making some major titles get last minute edits to cut back the violence or $ex to make it into the Windows marketplace... as much for publicity as anything else, but that's merely a guess on my part. Maybe it won't affect anything, since as many have pointed out already, there are lots of other avenues for purchasing the game(s) of your choice.

Microsoft is becoming more like Apple, such a shame.

just when i think there is no more bad things to hear about windows 8 ... lol people should give it a break

I guess the Windows 8 Marketplace is intended for use by children and not adults then?
Perhaps Windows 8 is being targeted at children, that could explain all the large icons and large buttons and the new start menu screen.
