I have preferred Noctua fans, but those prices have got out of hand. I doubt the efficiency/silence boost over more reasonably priced competitors is above single digit percentage anyway.

Point is with Noctua fans, you invest into longlife products. My NH-U9F is working with it's original 92mm fan since... 2007! Third motherboard and no noise, no wobling. And I can keep it for my next AM5 board! I don't know any other brand name with such dedication for product longevity. Of course, it doesn't matter to everyone. But if you do, look no further.

Sadly the old A14/A15 fans have a terrible hum past 700 RPM. Can't wait to replace my D15 fan with a black one.

If budget is not an issue, Noctua are still easily the best in terms of quality, IMO. With Noctua you're paying for serious engineering dedication & support that's more trustworthy than most other companies. Too bad they hate their customers so much that no matter how years people tell them we don't want boomer brown, they still make that the default while different colors come in at an even more expensive price. I swear I know a few hundred people who refuse to buy Noctua due to the boomer cream/brown colors, while the black fans are never available here & when they are it's for an even crazier price. Thermalright basically came in & ate their lunch. A Peerless Assassin costs how much now? $35? At that price & performance (beat the old NH-D15 in benches I saw) it doesn't even matter if it does degrade & break down in a few years.
