im pretty sure this can't be exploited on windows 10, microsoft locked down write access for things like this on storage and ram.

What is hw over provisioning? https://www.seagate.com/ru/ru/tech-insights/ssd-over-provisioning-benefits-master-ti/ Any space unallocated for file system is over provisioning, and since users can configure it (my Samsung SSDs and Magician app offer that) we can`t call it "HW".

@mbk1969 how many brands besides Samsung offer sw to do those changes? ignoring some drives have higher capacity, with OP not being exposed/cant be changed, e.g. a 500gb only shows 480gb, and im not talking about the space lost for format/file sys.
