Wow, the really are getting rid of all those analog 5.1 and 7.1 outputs.

the possibility is still there to output 5.1 and 7.1 via analog, you just have to repurpose the front panel jacks. they are just making it more difficult for us to use it , while they make millions saving cents per board

You are correct. Just managed to download the user manual on MSI's site. Wiring for 5.1 is gonna look really awkward with usage of the front panel output.

if you're not using the front panel audio at all I believe there are brackets and you can put in a empty pciex slot and wire them to the front panel header. but man that's a chore
