Nooo its too early for a Ti, I only got my 1080Ti a year ago lol.
Interesting that the memory size is the same

Nvidia knows it has to refresh next year on 7nm.. that's why they are launching a Ti so soon. They've been building 800mm2 Titan/GV100's on this process for a year now. It's not like it's a new node where they have worry about yield ramps. I'm still surprised they bothered releasing this series and not just waiting for 7nm to become available, but I guess if they are going to rush the whole thing out it makes sense.

That’s bad ass. Thought I’d have to go the 2080 route again but would be great if I could upgrade right away to the Ti

Nice, but I'm surprised that they aren't going any higher for the memory. Enough for 4k but what about pushing more details and post processing at 4k or at a higher hz?

I think they will release it right away so they can charge higher $$, otherwise they would have to settle with the same 650-699$ later on.. now they can sell that 2080ti for 750-850$ np.

Bit old now but unless 4k vram usage has tripped i think we are fine, Guess if you want to game at 8k you might have some issues... Though i've not heard of higher hz needing more memory?
11gb should be enough even for 4k/5k

The white on the lettering where it says RTX is too bright and doesn't match the rest of the lighting on the picture.
Some lettering is also slightly misaligned with the box perspective and other lettering.
Also, quite low-rez and with plenty of JPG artefats, probably to hide the fact that it's 'pshopped.
Quite poor job actually.
WTX conclusion: Fake
Move on, nothing to see here.
Oh looky, my nickname is abbreviated with TX as well ^.^

Just read the news, first thought - Fake. I can see @wavetrex was ahead of me. Can't add anything.
Videocardz is known for fakes.

That last pic has an NVLink connector on it, not the usual SLI connector.
So maybe SLI is gone the way of the Dodo now, and NVLink is the new SLI ?

This is starting to get very spicy indeed

hold onto your hats folks.
we will know when the real thing is ready to launch from blow-out e.o.l. sales on gtx10xx

I have a MSI 1080Ti Duke and my box is a little different from the one being leaked. It has no dragon because i think the dragon is exclusive to their gaming series and on the left side my box shows the name of the card on small letters and some specs below, the leak here only shows the name. The front of the boxes are also different. It seems someone grabbed a picture of a MSI gaming card and then photoshopped it to look like a Duke version.... Or maybe MSI changed the style of the Duke version.

I don't see any point upgrading my GPU when we are stuck with old SDR monitors. Not interested in 27" 4K, so I have to wait for the 35" ultrawide HDR. I'm not buying a new GPU to make SDR games run faster. Seems like obsolete tech to me without HDR. Ray Tracing + HDR is the only way forward. SDR is a waste.
Also, if the 2080Ti drops this soon, don't buy it unless you need it. This will be like the GTX 480 getting obsoleted by the GTX 580 refresh. This time its a new node though. If they drop the 2080Ti this soon, that means they are getting ready to hit you with some buyers remorse very quickly after that. Also, TitanV buyers got screwed so hard its insane. No RT cores? Dammmmn.

After analyzing the box pictures i found them to be 100% photo-shopped. They are just rendered but still interesting. The Jaggies on the RTX signs give it away.

Some kid in his mommy's basement is having fun making these.
Bad journalism from all the outlets that present them as "leaks". Kinda disappointed that Hilbert went along with it instead of clearly marking the "leak" as -Rumor-
