I have issues recording with mkv. All I do is recording using MJPG compression. and select MKV as container. My video doesn't play unless I forward but then the audio is messed.

I tried many. vlc, media player classic and also tried to convert it but then the audio is out of sync. When I use VFW compression my recording is only at 25FPS

Learn to configure it properly, sorry, cannot help you with that. There are no changes in VFW recording and it is available in AB during the last few builds.

So I've tested it with AVI and MKV and it's only MKV that's giving me issues, when I record with AVI my video comes out fine.

Yes, i'm not being helpful and my work is nothing. Do you think that it is fun to assume that the tool developer didn't even test new features on his side? Once again, I cannot help you to address your issues. Just skip the betas and leave them for more experienced users, sorry.

well pardon me. I never assumed that you haven't tested it. I was just explaining what might be an issue. I actually know how to set it up properly but I though maybe you can test it again to make sure it's not an issue with the software. I'm here to help not to complain about the software.

Thanks. ok I removed some codec from my pc and it works now. Only 1 thing noticed is that in the media info it's telling me it's 25fps but when I check the fps in media player classic it's running at 30fps. so guess it working so far. will test another game to see if it's working.

oh and another thing it could also be sweetfx. I tested a game that's using sweetfx and then it doesn't work, but when using a game without sweetfx it works.

I'm currently running the prior beta of AB with RTSS. Is it necessary to uninstall the prior versions before installing the latest build? Thanks.
It is recommended to uninstall RTSS and reboot if prompted by uninstaller before installing new RTSS version. It is not necessary to uninstall the previous version of AB before installing new one.
