Honestly, they just lost it. That's more costly than what I paid for my last X99 mainboard with Asus... and that's Intel's chipsets, not even AMD! Pair this with a 599€ CPU and you're just in for wasting money since 10GBit LAN and an OLED display are just useless features for 99.9% of users. I do think the M2 riser will be handy for many more than just 0.1% of people though... but not much use in buying this mainboard for me, personally.

gigabyte's top board is meant to be ~600. I mean, if you're willing to spend 500 it means you're looking for extreme OC with Nitrogen so..
