Shows how really decided the Microsoft Windows team is. Or just another test for them and beta-testers responded. Heavily overpriced TPM modules and endless discussions.
Never change Microsoft. Cements my decision even more to stay away from Windows in my personal computing.

Computing devices with screen sizes smaller than 9-inches and resolution less than 720p will not be compatible with Windows 11. 😡

Anyone else remember when Microsoft said Windows '95 needed just 4MB of RAM; when in reality is was clearly 8MB, with 16MB being pretty much god mode?

And i was a "conspirationist" telling that this tool wasn't accurate... lol

Getting bribes from all hardware companies and then telling everybody their PCs are not up to the task of running Win11.
Nice try MS.

All this shows is that developers and software engineers are not necessarily competent communicators or strategists. In fact they can be idiots outside their specialized fields.

My guess is the fact it didn’t actually inform you as to why your PC was incompatible is the reason it was pulled, don’t be surprised if an updated version appears that just tells you what’s wrong with zero changes to the actual requirements to install Windows 11.

Just bought a tpm 2 module for under 13 euro, just hope that I get it at that price 🙂

Maybe the NSA told them that all the "terrorists", that they want the backdoor TPM key storage system to work with, only have older machines with 1.2 modules. Wouldn't want the US government encryption backdoor to only work on people with newer fancier PCs would we...

How will they know if my screen is larger than 9"?

Microsoft:
- Windows 10 is the last, we will continue to update it.
- There is no Windows 11
- Hello to the new Windows 11
- Windows 10 will be no more after 2025
- TPM 2.0 is required, it's a great time to buy a new PC!
- Well we are pasted&copied by OEM full system manufactures specifications, but we cannot tell you that.
- DirectStorage needs at least 1TB of space!
- You can verify with app.
- TPM 1.2 is also fine
- We updated the app.
- DirectStorage doesn't really need at least 1TB
- TPM 2.0 only, TPM 1.2 no more fine
- TPM 2.0 is required because on enterprise ecosystems most of attacks can be mitigated or nullified by TPM 2.0 technologies.
- Special OEM and custom ISOs mostly like for enterprise ecosystems can bypass TPM checks.
- There is no real technical reason for hardware restrictions, but you will love it.
- Screw you gamers and casual users, you need TPM 2.0, no ryzen 1.0 or previous, no core 7xxx or previous.
- To be honest you can simply add 2 registry entries before installation and bypass it all, like it is on Virtual Machines (that runs even on single core, 2GB or less memory and WDDM 1.0 graphics!). You can even install it on VM and clone after on disc from VHD..But we cannot tell you this.
- App to verify is no more.

WhyNotWin11 is a VASTLY superior tool anyway and the author is constantly releasing updates.

As above, ONE engineer said that Windows 10 would be the last version. ONE.
MS, however, never corrected him.
Microsoft - We'll listen, eventually, then change.
Apple - You will have this and like it.
Windows 11 = Free. It's FREE. You neither have to like it, or even use it. But I know that you'll ALL eventually use it. Just think of ALL those Intel mac owners. They'll soon have Windows 11.

Interestingly, today Win11 is showing up as downloadable for me, despite Windows Insider still saying my hardware doesn't meet the minimum requirements.

As I see it, all presumptions, incl statements from MS are null and void until the actual release of 11.
