I don't see why people think this is a step forward because its still stuck on 16/9 screen ratio. Me I say the 21/9 ratio 3440 x 1440 should be the new upcoming upgrade with half the pixel count of these 4 k displays that will require less graphics horse power to run. The Samsung S34E790C out next year or the U3415W by dell is something I would consider a monitor upgrade. The 4 or even 5k displays don't do anything for me and when people need to change the size of there icons on screen it must be saying something is wrong. 4k,5k only works for something 80" 30" is just pure pointless.
This isn't 16:9, it would be 3840x2160 if it were.

@tigermoth Clearly you haven't seen a 4k screen. At least i cant assume anything else, since i can see the difference on any screen size that if seen so far, starting with 30monis and 50/55 in tvs. And aspect ratio has nothing to do with image quality/detail. And unless your just gonna watch Hollywood movies on it (20:9/cinemascope), having that AR on a monitor would only really make sense for content editing/production...
