a nice performance (heat) switch should be present on these ssds . i installed a 2tb samsung nvme on my notebook as a second drive and removed it after two or three days. The heat of the bottom cover right beneath the drive was remarkable. Eventually this nvme was replaced by a 2 TB sata drive ( lenovo main board includes this option).

So... what's the point of stacking a heatsink on top of another heatsink? Seems like it'd just be less efficient and transferring heat, and added expense.
