Actually I don't think that's too far from the truth. Shame on those greedy bastards, AMD and Intel included.
The industry was handed a massive and unexpected boost to sales and profits due to Covid and Crypto. They are feeling the backlash now.
The prices during Crypto and Covid weren't just relative to the demand of the open market, they limited production to help elevate the pricing.
They have no shame.
But like many I recently upgraded my gpu. Gamer's have been waiting for several years now for affordable pricing from a company that owes it's very existence to the PC gaming community. But all Huang likes to do now is bend us over and **** us!
Since Nvidia uses the frame generation to market cards with bloated prices, I wonder if it could be possibly okay to take 100€ notes and print colour copies of them, and then pay at the shop with like 65% real money and 35% photocopied money. If I'm paying for fake frames, paying with fake money would make perfect logical sense.

if true i might go back to NC with Asus TuF 3060ti GDRR6x for $470( 20 more then i payed for my 1070ti) from microcenter well providing it actual is GDDR6X verison and ignore pc tech for another 5 years by that point my 6700k will be useless in new games and probably the 3060ti haha

Ha, that did make me chuckle! But on the positive....fake frames do help to reduce your motion blur by virtue of giving a higher framerate, but they don't do anything to improve response time related to input movement, etc, as in that sense they are entirely fake.
God Dammit, I'm on 1660 Super and while I'm extremely happy thus far, I'd certainly consider going 4060, but 550€?

But Huang knows you haven't been able to afford to upgrade over the last couple of years. He knows your aging gpu is starting to struggle with the new titles. And he knows you have little other option than to pay him $500 for a mid-range gpu. He knows AMD is still floundering for some unknown reason with their gpus and drivers. Huang knows he has you by the balls. Huang doesn't care. 😛
that is price the xx60ti should be and even that stretch imo a 3060ti roughly 2 time performance (ignoring DLSS crap) @ 450$+ in most cases of a which what a1070ti 450$ atlest that price would kind make sense unlike 3050ti that worse then 1070ti and almost as much at AIB 1070ti in most cases
Also dont buy into it is double performance over last gen so extra 100-200$ over last gen is valid argument if nvidia and aib did from start we would already be looking 1000$ entry level and 1500$ mid range card and 2500$+ highend. no one but the 1 % would by card at that point and gaming on PC would been something not many people will even entertain the thought of
