If it has the same layout as IE9 ill stick with IE8.
I want my Tabs below the Toolbar.
And i did use Firefox for a while, but the amount of Plugins i needed to achieve the same style as IE8 was just way too much trouble. Apart from that Plugins are getting abandoned etc, it's only annoying.

I'm going to guess a lot of users here still use FF out of habit even with Chrome around. Very few on tech sites ever use IE... regardless of what IE becomes I will always remember it as this:

I don't know if IE could sync my settings in cloud but my portable firefox V19 nightly x64 can, and have some important plugins also. Chrome is not what i want from the browser with that instances copying to infinity eating whole memory and just the fact being 32 bit makes me 😛uke2:

IE user from IE8 (or did I go back to IE when it was only IE7), anyways, liking it. Definitely will get this one. 🙂

I've been running Chrome for a few years now. I'm not going back to IE. I had such bad experiences with crashes and stuff years ago that it left a bad taste in my mouth. Long live Google Chrome.

I used FF for many years until I started having continual problems with Adobe flash. I got sick of it and have been using Chrome for several months now. Once I became accustomed to Chrome's layout I can honestly say that it's pretty nice. I miss a couple of the FF plug-ins, but that's about all.
As for IE, well... I haven't used it since XP came out. 😛

IE feels ancient.

Ie 9 is a good browser and i'm sure IE 10 will be better. But for me the harm is done and it's too late. I'm used to FF and addons like WebDev, Firebug, httpfox, colorzilla and such. I have all browsers installed on my PC and have a mac around with safari for testing purpose but always use either FF or chrome.
It's more since IE8. And IE8 was only a start. IE started to catch the comp when IE 9 was released only.
Ie 7 was crap. Did not even support inline-block property for block level elements but supported it for inline elements. I can't specically recall all the other rendering problems we had with it but we had a lot. HTML rendering was extremely slow too for big pages. We have an option in one of our internal apps here to show all results from a search in one single page instead of using paging. The scrolling was a slideshow until version 9 of IE.
The faster IE 7 and 8 die the better.
[edit]
Just recalled one of the bugs we encountered under ie 7 (and there's many of them).

Oh come on... I'm going to be honest, web devs hate guys like you and would really like to force you to update (or if you like to use broken web sites in the future....). :P
How about adapting the new look? I mean, it can't be that hard! It makes really no difference whether or not it's on top or bellow the bookmark bar. If you don't use the bookmark bar, you can just disable it.

Yay! IE 10 was the only real thing I was impressed with during my tryout of Windows 8. I was already looking for it to install as IE9 pisses me off sometimes with its startup bug, though it hasn't been impacting me lately for some reason.
Anywho, I found IE10 to be stupid fast during my usage.. looking forward to switching to this. As much as I dislike MS for many reasons, I am an IE fanboy 😳

Firefox 16.0.1 and just about every version since 3.x has sucked in performance. IE6/7 were okay, didn't like 8 much, 9 is slick and I'm looking forward to 10.
Just wished I could have my bookmarks in IE appear like that in Firefox as it looks nice and is easier to manage...
