I'm surprised this is generating so much news. Since when did people start caring about BGA soldered processors? These aren't LGA, so no one except system integrators with low end motherboards are going to use these chips, except to solder them on some data center boards or other specialized platforms. And I haven't seen a single BGA to LGA adapter for sale anywhere outside of China and the very few that were tested showed inconsistent results. I remember a 7820HK CPU being tested on a BGA adapter on a desktop motherboard. Required a special BIOS and overclocking didn't work properly (even though the 7820HK is an unlocked 45W processor that can exceed its power limit indefinitely).

Maybe its same as their gpu, silent release to avoid the shame.. They already have more of that than certain Cersei..

I mean, the problem that they had a quiet release is because no one would be excited about BGA on desktop, like another guy said above. Still, it will be interesting how TGL-H perform when TDP limit is no longer the biggest issue. Since Intel is moving to big-small design with Alder Lake, this is probably the only time we see a "desktop" Tiger Lake.

Kinda weird because unlike Rocket Lake (which was overall a step in the wrong direction) these are the kinds of CPUs we've been waiting for from Intel. Tiger Lake is a solid platform. Zen3 is overall better, but there are compelling reasons to get TL. The silent GPU release was because of being a low-end model - they don't want that giving first impressions of their dGPUs.

Well im still using Intels because of some retro friendly features, but im aware of their big flaws and their TDP concept make me angry. With these Gpus Intel made silent lauch, because there is something wrong with them.. it seems they dont have good performance per watt.. - because there that is sense of low powered GPUs.. and we known how bad still are their drivers, i expected big improvement with their better GPUs, but nothing happed. Only good thing from Intel are some Iris Gpus in some ultra mobile CPUs (15W/25W/28W) which finally moving to more and more products instead some weird, premium, Apple etc stuff.. instead of Intel HD abominations.. They are power hungry, but seems to be faster than whole AMD Apus, what is big surprise.. bad you had to survive their drivers. Also problem seems to be that even with less FPS, AMDs framerate is much more stable than Intel and lowered FPS are actually better on AMD, again probably because of drivers..
