Damage control was fast with this one...what i do not get is that in2018 you can not hide such changes people put em under the microscope...and everytime big companies end up with a big whoops ...am i the onlyone that think going forward and honest will be more beneficial ? I mean....if there is big perfomance hit there is no covering it even if you sell your soul to the devil....

Are they seriously paying people to come up with these ideas, only to disregard them the next day??

I think the more concerning problem is they're so used to patting themselves on the back that they honestly had no idea such an EULA was going to piss people off. Someone must have reviewed and approved it before sending it out, and yet nobody at Intel questioned how stupid, antagonistic, or destructive this could've been.

Maybe Intel played too much on the "people are lazy and dumb and don't read EULAs". There is a lot of software which reads the EULA and highlights the BS and gives you a gist. More, a tech giant has a lot of opportunist people obsessed with finding a flaw, a patent infringement, anything that can be presented in court and milk some cash.

Steve Jobs would hate that I don't read them.
