BLEH!
I guess some of that TDP depends on the size of the IGP as well.

I hope they will pack something interesting, Sandy Bridge was the last exciting thing.

Intel is competing vs itself, pretty much like nvidia nowdays.
I hope to see something WOW effect, but ya know..

Apparently the 6700K can perform almost on par with the 5820K with two less cores and a third of the threads 🤓!

Intel Core i7-6700T 2.8GHz 3.6GHz 8MB 4/8 35W
Why is no one talking about this!?
35W 3.6GHz 4 core 8 thread CPU!!!
THIRTY-FIVE WATT!!!
This is insane, blew me away when I read this. I had to read it twice. This CPU will be amazing for HTPC/Media Center/low profile gaming PC/LAN PC.
I know "T" model name means low energy/high efficiency and its not unlocked like the "K" models. Still insane for a 35W desktop CPU. If pricing is right on this chip I will 100% buy one for a low profile gaming rig.... (Steam Box anyone?)

Soo, that's it? I buy a new motherboard, new memory sticks and this new quad i5 and I get...50% loss on my old parts and 10% speed gain over them for....200-250% more money?
yeaaa....

Laptop CPUs please. Bring back the MX cpus. My 4940MX takes too much voltage 🙁. No more soldered garbage.

I´m more excited about AMD´s new Zen CPU than Intel´s new CPUs...
C´mon AMD, show us something amazing! Or not...

Intel Quadcore = Intel Profit. :3eyes: Oh well, I guess it means another small bump. Guess it would be good for OEM machines though.

Intel are probably just looking to make money here, I doubt we'll see CPU's with more cores from Intel until windows 10 is released and even then I think it will take a year or two before Windows 10 becomes mainstream and it's not like Intel are under threat from AMD so I don't blame them, it's real a shame tho I'd quite happily give my money for a six or eight core chip on 1150 socket, socket 2011 is just too expensive right now when you factor in the cost of DDR4, really we need a middle ground here.

Only interested in 6 and 8 core... are there even going to be Skylake 6 and 8?
