. Frames per dollar always matter. Application execution in seconds per dollar matters too.
I know it does technically matter, what I wanted to say is that Intel did sell better even if its CPUs were worse than AMDs - by worse I mean slower ofc.
Freeman:

They seem to be very loud and sensitive saying empty statements like: AMD is better. Theres a lot of them and it has been spreading with the name ''Ryzen''. So when they report record sales next April, it will actualy be a sizeable difference. AMD has never had customers so attached and hyped to what they sell.
It's a brand fanboyism, alright.
Freeman:

Market share? You are wrong on that one, it can be googled and is free information. And market cap has been rising steadily for last 2 years its trippled.
Yeah thanks for the clarification, the last time I have checked it was around 20% circa around 2019, just like in your graph - I don't track that stuff often although I should verify any changes before posting. They are getting close, we will see if that changes anytime soon. Is there any way to verify if OEMs are favoring AMD more now, or is higher market share enough of a marker?

It's cause enthusiast market is tiny compared to oem's, business, laptops. Enthusiast might be switching to AMD in record numbers, but everyone else isn't.
Everything is related to only one thing, their fab partner can't keep up because they got lots of client. AMD might have not bought enough wafers for Q3/Q4 2020, underestimated what could be sold and missing a good chunk of what they could have sold in both CPU & GPU if they had booked more at TSMC early on. It cost lots of cash and it's risky but can pay off if you're sure to deliver good products.

Yeah, no worries, friend. I dont know about OEM's, might be.

5600x is better hands down, not just performance in game but the whole package - application performance, power, features. it's a stroll for 5600x to take on 10600K but look at pricing https://www.ceneo.pl/93590964 https://www.ceneo.pl/98430083 900 vs 1550,should we really compare them ? did people compare 7700k against ryzen 1500x ? at this point even 10700KF is cheaper and you can buy an i9 for the same price https://www.ceneo.pl/93590966 https://www.ceneo.pl/93704625 that price tag is offputting, and intel is dropping down consistently.

Im not discussing prices as they are way above msrp and stupid. Troll said Intel is better (faster in my book) which is not the case at least for now

I had to check there is a price difference in Finland also. Tho 5600x is not even available. 320€ for the 5600x and 10600K was 270€. Not big difference at this price I would go for AMD for all around better experience. But at current situation in terms of availability. 5800x is 80€ more than 10700K and difference between 5900x and 10900K is only 40€. But then again only AMD available is the 5800x which is kind of overpriced.

check kf 270 eur is a lot,at this point 5600x may be worth extra 50 over 10600k but then again 10700k could be around same price too and that is a much harder decision. seen 10600kf selling for 190eur here.10th gen prices are finally making sense here, they're nice gaming and office cpus, but frankly,no one should buy 14nm skylake in 2021 unless heavily discounted. I don't care about nm that much, mostly about value.Never bought a cpu more expensive than 1300pln and that was my absolute max,and I only did it once.so in terms of value 10600kf at 850-900 is ripping a 1550-1600 5600x to shreds.

Kf is going for 258 in the store I was referring to but can be had as low as 215 with delivery. That is a nice deal but yeah.

350 eur is not low end I've had 200-300 eur cpus that when tuned topped charts when they came out.People are only buying 5600x cause amd gave them no other choice under 400eur. 5600x is good, but look at rdr2,same happens in cyberpunk and a few more recent games where it's not that much different from a eur140 i5 10400F. performance overall is very good for sure, but cost per frame......this thing should be 250-270 eur tops when 10600kf sells under for half the price. https://geizhals.de/amd-ryzen-5-5600x-100-100000065box-a2392524.html https://geizhals.de/intel-core-i5-10600kf-cm8070104282136-a2283963.html https://geizhals.de/intel-core-i7-10700kf-v33509.html it's quite puzzling how things changed.intel is selling a 10 core for the price of amd's six https://geizhals.de/intel-core-i9-10900f-v33511.html

Thats your countrys issue with sales so i dont think this debate is valid because my countries prices are different
