Intel can name their CPUs as they see fit, I'll have a Matisse build, no matter what.

They should make it like the Xeon lineups But like "Core xy00" series X denoting tier Y denoting generation 2000 series: celeron 3000 series: pentium 4000 series: i3 5000 series: i5 6000 series: i7 7000 series: i7X 8000 series: i9 9000 series: i9X Makes sense to me
This works for Xeons because companies purchasing Xeons know exactly what they are looking for. This would not work for consumers as all they really do is look at the first number and compare it to whatever they currently have. Obviously most people have no idea what that means, but if they have a 3400 processor, and the new computer they are looking at says 9100, that to them looks like a "big" change, even if it's really not. Whereas if they had a 3430 processor, and the new one has a 3930 processor, it doesn't look near as big of a change. Sure, still higher, but if you pitted two examples next to eachother, told them either the 3930, or the 9100, even if they were exactly, 100%, the same re-branded CPU, they'd pick the 9100, and probably spend more money to have it.

seriously? I mean seriously dude! ....do you work for amd or something? no one I know here would ever make that statement.
YES man! I talked very seriously! But you dont understand my real message... this Intel that all know is DEAD! They will must change everthing of their products and prices! Or you are a senior member like too many others here that build a high-end Intel PC to gain 5FPS on 1080p?!?!?!?! Come on... lets talk about market, money and performance... here is a place to learn what is the best option always looking to the investiment you will do. All smart people know that at 1440 and 4k there is no FPS gain through CPU... sorry but this is too ridiculus... until when the blue fanboys will talk of gamer performance at 1080p???
