On other hand "limited edition" mean to be limited unit... So it's logical.

And there I thought it meant limited demand due to their terrible pricing.

I guess the costs of buying market share with underpriced GPUs where getting to high. Better to let 3rd party manufacturers bear that cost.

Intel tried it, a bit like the limited Aston Martin... Without the glory around the product of course lol. But they are logical with themself (And the product is really a step forward for Intel, and quite good...) Maybe we are all wrong and in the future this Arc 770 limited edition will cost more than the big multiple voodoo GPU... (jocking a bit 🙂 )

Intel needs a big OEM type of market push if they want to succeed with their GPUs. Game consoles, laptops, PC pre-builds -- everything is occupied by the competition and the retail sector for video cards is squeezed tight by AMD's and NV's low-cost offerings of the last generations (plus the pressure from the second-hand market) that makes the race to the bottom a money burning parade. The lack of high-end "halo" SKUs is also not contributing to the over image of the Arc brand.

Yeah, I agree with you. Thing is, the OEM market is suffering right now, Intel's GPUs couldn't have launched at a worse time tbh. 5 years ago, they would have already succeeded the way you mentioned, being pushed into entry level gaming systems OEM wise, and it would have greatly helped adoption rates.

There are plenty of "limited edition" products where the only limited thing they have is their naming...

Well, what is "limited" is customers sadly. I am sure the will have another round and learn more.

I own that ARC A770-16 LE card for my simracing PC. It runs quite nicely...even under WMR with my HP Reverb G2. I suspect guys having performance issues don't have their PCs properly configured in the BIOS. I run racing sims from as far back as 2012 and 2013. I have not had a single in-game crash or stutter. I've had 'glass' smooth framerates in each of the eight titles. I've also been running the card since December 28th 2022. Sold the bundled MW2 to bring cost to $300. Mine is paired with an R5 5600x on an MSI B450 with 32GB of inexpensive TimeTec DDR4-3600 operating at 1T CAS 16, 19, 19, 19, 36. Both PBO and XMP are deselected and the RAM is hard selected to 3600 MHz with 1.38 volts. Resizable bar and above 4G decoding are selected on. Frequency by CCX is selected as opposed to All core. The system is rock stable.

there would only be really performance issue if these card were used in systems that dont have Rebar, there huge hit if system dont have that, , or you where running DX9 games which appart there DX9 Code in there driver is really bad
