Why this separate company? Crappy hdd's to avoid tarnishing the main brand? lol. Anyway, I can see myself getting these really high capacity disks only because smaller form factor motherboards rarely have more than 4 SATA ports.

It's the IBM and Hitachi combination WD bought in 2012..I'm sure those names do ring a bell. They've only been making computer storage since the f@cking 1950s.
