3 times through each article, was about to give up. Guess I'm not good at these but I managed to find it.

Grinch stole my image, this I can say with certainty 😉. Oh well. I hope Hilbert is open to changing how these work in the future, seems to be a recurring issue for some folks. Merry Christmas and good luck to everyone regardless.

Yay! A Christmas treasure hunt! I just upgraded my desktop in the beginning of the year to a 5600X and 48 GB DDR4 @ 3200 MHz so I'm sitting this one out but will do some hunting for fun. Happy festive season to all who have a reason to celebrate and a wish that 2024 is better than 2023!

That was a tricky one. Almost missed it again on my 2nd look-through.

I'd say this one is easy to spot, yet very confusing. Hilbert did a tricky one Merry Christmas everyone!

Good luck all Intel owners 🙂
I have the cheaper ripjaw 6000 30 40 40 96 kit, this kit is going to run fine on many AMD boards at 6000-6200 30 40 40 96 just like my kit, so this is pretty damn close to optimal for a AMD owner.

Thanks

Without EXPO and on QVL list, I wouldn't bet on it 🙂

If everything goes wrong then just activate EXPO or XMP and set the speed manually to 6000 instead of 6400 and manually verify the voltages, the timings are still going to be good. My memory kit works on Asrock B650e steel legend at 6200 not EXPO and not on QVL. Hilbert uses a Asrock X670e steel legend at 6200 1:1 for multiple memory kit reviews. The following boards are reviewed with 6000 speeds here on Guru3d, I did a extra logo hunt to look at AMD mainboard reviews. MSI MPG B650 Carbon WIFI MSI MAG B650M Mortar WIFI MSI MAG X670E Tomahawk WiFi ASUS STRIX B650E-F WIFI Gaming Buildzoid uses X670E Aorus extreme for 6000-6200 speeds and the B650E Tachyon at 8000 speed with divider to get the fastest non LN2 cooled 7900x record. QVLs are nice to have but there is only 4 G.skill 6000 32GB sticks on the my list and that is more or less the same memory kit in silver, black, RGB and noRGB, that is almost it. For Intel boards the QVL is almost useless because of the silicon quality differences on the memory controller. EXPO is also nice to have but a quick search shows less then 10% of the memory sticks online has EXPO, 1 G.skill 6000 kit on my QVL list is EXPO.

Not sure where we're going with this but well, I personally prefer EXPO and that my memory is on my motherboards QVL list. The G.skill 6000 kit I've got is perfectly compatible and doesn't require any manual setup, just the way I like it 🙂 Anyway, Merry Christmas to you 🙂
