So you don't have at least 850 and even newer in order to compare 'em… That's kind of my point.

Hes probably talking about 840 that had some issues. My 850 is flawless. Never owned a crucial ssd tho.

Yeah, me neither, never had 840. They were still expensive and kinda new. Besides back then had one Magnetic with 10.000rpm and an other one normal. I waited a bit. Now the 860 is built in 7nm and the review said even power consumption cut in half. Couldn't be happier. That's why my NVMe will be Samsung, too, with its special cooler of my new M/B. I'll move all my games on it ( Steam, Origin and some other ). Loading maps blazing fast. I have BFBC2, BF3, BF4 and now I'll get BF IV, too, even though don't like so much BF WWI & II games. Still the best fights took place on BFBC2 because they had the best Rush maps ever. Remember the epic battles? Then came BF3 with the worst Rush maps ever. Sad but have fun with BF3 anyway. For some reason with BF4 not so much. The bad thing with BF4 when Origin gave the newer DLCs for free, I lost the first one. Didn't know about it. Got all others but rarely play on new maps despite the fact that the new maps are exceptionally good. I hope BF 5 is fun. Look at this: Found this chair in a store in Greece at 179 euros and then checked on a site that reports the best prices. Found exactly the same chair at 119 euros ( with delivery and all ). Crazy, but I ordered it already. 60 euros difference, the thieves. 179€ https://www.plaisio.gr/epipla-grafeiou/karekles/gaming-chairs/@Work-Karekla-Grafeiou-Nemesis-Black-red-AW11354.htm 119€ https://www.lago.gr/detail/33/34086/kathisma-grafeiou-dermatinis-eisagogis-67x70x1325-ypsos-mayro-kokkino

Yes you should, Adverts are the most common way to get infected by a browse by attack these days.
*facepalm* No, they really aren't. This isn't the 1990s anymore. Clicking on ads is a very common way to get infected, but unless you're still using IE6, I am willing to bet any amount of money that any site with legal content will not infect you just by loading up their ads.

Undying:

I'm talking about its software and that gimmick that "boosts" perf. Read various stories how inconsistent this software is and stability in general. Ssd's are ok though.

Just got back home, hooked up my PC and entered. Did I make it in time to be counted? Hope so, since one can never have too many SSD's.

My 256GB Crucial M4 still works fine, and i want to get a 1TB when i upgrade to Zen2. So skipping this contest, and good luck to those that do enter!

Hilbert, sorry to bother you, but still my first question remained unanswered... Is this contest worldwide? Because I live in Greece ( South Europe ). I've never win anything, but just in case I offer the shipping costs. Right now I just install Dragon Age Inquisition ( the 8th game ) and only 80GB left. Not counting the 35GB I have unallocated in disk management ( the tool in Windows ) to remain untouched and thus prolong even more the life of SSD. 35GB unallocated in my two 500GB SSDs ( 850 & 860 ) and 16GB in my 850 boot drive. Oh boy if I get in my hand this new SSD. New M/B, new CPU, new SSD, new DDR4 @2666Mhz RAM, PC bucket chair and an extremely nice new office for my system. This Christmas is going to be good. And besides all these, I downloaded the CRU Utility and from 60Hz I did it 75Hz. Small difference but better than nothing. The best was that in NV Control Panel I now have the new 1920x1080 @75Hz resolution as PC Native, not as HDTV anymore -because I connect via HDMI. I don't need to change from Limited to Full colours anymore.

Yes, don't worry. All competitions are global, there are no restrictions.

Not sure if willfully ignorant or.... =_= Code execution is done at render time, you don't need to "click" to be infected. Hell you can be exploited by opening a "carefully crafted email"

Not sure if you're living in 2005 or are a fearmongerer, because modern web browsers and the most primitive firewalls prevent such code execution for well over a decade now. Find 1 trustworthy website (so basically any site with legal content) that is proven to cause malware infections on modern web browsers just by loading an ad, with or without antivirus protection. Just 1 is all I ask.
