Surprising to be honest.

2020 is going to be a game-changer with Intel’s entry into the discrete GPU market and a possible fourth entry by an IP company.
Who's the fourth company? AMD, Intel, Nvidia, and...? Matrox?

I guess APU is also included in this list. 2200G/3200G are selling like hotcakes. Built 2 PCs for my family with those APU, payed sub $300 for parts per rig. It's capable of playing casual games like Minecraft. Pretty damn good deal.
i did build two build recently with a 2400g for friends who are mainly playing poker and some casual games, budget build, they love it

Yeah including integrated skews the data towards AMD a bit, I suspect if you just made discreet GPU's it would look very different.

Discreet GPU graph would be interesting considering AMDs driver problems of late.

Funny thing about Matrox is their newest GPUs are based on Nvidia architectures. So, perhaps Qualcomm? They're starting to make a dent in ultra-mobile laptops.

It appears iGPUs are included. I like my 2400G a lot. It's set at 3.8 ghz on the cpu (undervolted) and 1500 mhz on the igpu. The entire computer uses 40-70 watts. πŸ™‚

You're probably right

The article is referring to PC GPU Market share. The data presented in the graph isn't skewed at all. It's the most accurate market share figures currently available. A GPU is a GPU, whether it's integrated or dedicated. NVidia still has to compete with integrated GPUs from Intel and AMD.

We'll have to wait a few months to find out. The current standing, per the article, is that AMD gained 3% market share last quarter to go from 24% to 27% market share. NVidia lost 3% to go from 76% to 73% market share. There's really no need to see a graph, since segregating dedicated cards from the PC GPU Market, actually skews the data.

Integrated GPUs are part of the PC GPU Market, whether NVidia fanboys like it or not. They're still GPUs....

As proud 3.5GB half broken GTX970 owner myself, I find this fact rather amusing and very likable.
Got my GTX970 sitting on the shelf behind me, in it's box.... I have no bad things to say about that card. It did everything I asked of it.

970 was not that people said it was. That 3.5gb hurt though i hope you got your 30$ back. :P

I had two of these in SLI back then when SLI was an actual thing. Those were good times, I loved those cards despite the 3.5GB thing. Wish I still had one πŸ™‚ Would be a better companion than my GTX760 which is a little bit too weak for a 3440x1440 screen.

So you sold the 2080 and waiting for 3080, eh? The 760 is awful, had one zotac amp, it get rekt by igpus of today.

No πŸ˜€ The fan/fans on my 2080Ti broke so I had to RMA it. Will get a new one though so that's great. Yea, too bad the 3800X doesn't have iGPU now that I got a mobo with DisplayPort.

Not really. More bang for the buck

The revelation didn't change how the card performed. Mine performed exactly as I expected it to based on Hilbert's review.... My experience with the card was, for all intents and purposes, flawless....
sverek:

And you know what the worst part? Only customers in the USA were privileged to apply for the refund.
The "refund" was court ordered. NVidia didn't do it because they knew they violated laws. They did it because they were forced to. US Courts can't issue an order that extends beyond US borders. Had people in other countries gone after NVidia over the memory spec issue, more people might have gotten money back.

Of late? I jumped the ship already like 15 years ago partly because of their driver problems. And every time I deal with those I'm not impressed.

I'm afraid Ampere might swing the sword in nvidia's favour, unless big navi will give it a fight of its life.

With the high price of GPUs, this news surprises me. It also makes me concerned that those big prices are here to stay.

I haven't owned an AMD GPU for at least 10 years so I only know what I read on the forums and lately there's been a lot of talk about the Adrenalin drivers.
