We review the Gigabyte GeForce GTX 680 SOC. The factory overclocked product has a whopping three slot design and comes packed with five fans blowing air through a huge aluminum fin area that is covere... More...

Thanks for the review. The card looks interesting. What puzzles me is why they used so tiny fans. Smaller fans = better air pressure, however you can achieve the same (if not better) effect using centrifugal fans, just like the reference one. Perhaps they might make a better card if they used design similar to the reference, but with some extra heatpipes and extra slot?

using gigabyte GTX470 SOC i have been very interested in the direction the SOC graphics cards are taking, i really like the look of the GTX 680 SOC will definatly upgrade to another SOC edition card just dont need to yet as my 470 is not stuggling in any of my games yet. I need dx11 consoles (not a consoler) so we will get better pc games maybe GTX 780 SOC or what ever they call it for me

Just as expected, techpowerup also said it was noisy, but they reviewed the AMD version which probably runs a bit warmer.

Sniper Elite 2 is the new graphics card killer? All GPUs in the review seem to do miserably with it.

I got the card now, and it works fine. I like to overclock though, and the voltage limits on these Nvidia cards are just too tight. Gigabyte should provide some kind of software to make use of the power that the this card is capable of. A limit of 1.215v on the LN2 bios doesnt really match anything like 2x PCI-E 8 pins, or 8 power phases! Its a nice boost, compared to the reference card, but until I get my hands on some voltage software I feel a kind of cheated here.
Two questions: 1) On voltages .. you did read our conclusion right ? 2) What did you pay for it ?
