More grist for the rumor mill... RTX 2080, to signify the ray tracing capabilities of the new cards. [youtube=ms7HQ7rckpA]

Sounds like a steaming cup of bs to me.

I'm inclined to believe that Nvidia will do exactly the same thing they did with consumer Pascal cards. That means availability shortly after announcements. I don't like the leaked memory sizes from Adored TV though.

Yeah, funny how everyone is quick to call BS, but many times it is true.
Well, the timing seems to be right, and it's been over 2 years since the current gen was released, so it seems like a plausible date. But yeah you could be just guessing around and incrementing with a month each time you're wrong.

maybe they plan this generation to last 4 years? blower cards tend to die rather quickly due to heat

The Pascal FE cards throttled under sustained workloads. Plus they have to give people a reason to buy FE cards again, might as well make them a little more premium if you're going to ask for a premium price.

I want to believe that, but, my 8800GTX still works.

Cross fingers this new vgas don't go up in price. Dual fan solution seems like a good idea for a FE.

If dual fans, it may indicate a horribly hot, power hungry card. Would be a first for an Nvidia ref card.

Lately yes kepler /maxwell/ pascal where great in power/perfomance but nvidia had tow cards that are legendary as loud heaters thermfi gtx 480 and fx 5800 . That said for sure no such thing going to happen now in both cases they where behing and they had to rush their new tech out this time they had and still have all the time in the world.

Yes, Nvidia had power hungry cards, I had a hot, loud ref GTX470 and after that swore that I would never own a ref card again. What I meant it would be a first as a dual fan ref card (if true).

that would be a good thing in my books ! who does own a xx70 or xx80 and does not have a case with at least some airflow i guess blower cards are still better for cramped computers but with average airflow and dual or even triple fan cards you have much better results ! hope they go for it if anything the blower cards ...finding a fan replacement for em is a pain ! dual fan cards ... well worse come to worse you can even zip tie fans on it and call it a day not pretty but works :P
