Clean installed Windows 11 24H2 today and used these drivers, and they are a great pair indeed! 😎

Tested on Straship Troopers Extermination and frame gen is enabled and working correctly. Played a few racing games and all seems good. Normal install.

Clean install with DDU for the first time in ages (read something about better FPS with a clean install), no worries at all and running beautifully in MW3 MP

Yes it won't hold for me either, but it's not a problem for me. I have to be a bit fussy about what my monitor is showing me for photo work (I calibrate every month or so)

as long as +50% of all global gamers are playing at 720/1080p and 50/60hz, its not an issue, and those with higher refresh screens can adjust their game profiles.
its not really an an issue i noticed (120hz screen) in any games, even those from say win98, and reads more like a "legal" note, so that ppl cant complain that there is an issue

Nothing scales with DSR for me now, strange. Windows 11 used to automatic change to 150% when I set DLDSR 1440p->4k (2.25x) but not aymore. I wonder if there was some change in windows updates or in drivers. Don't have other problems with these drivers so far.

When rBAR is forced on via Inspector, Ratchet & Clank 4k DLSS performance very high textures (RT off) used to crash the 4070 driver after a few seconds on Win 11 24H2. This seems to be fixed with current 24H2 build + this driver.

As far as I was able to tell from a quick read, RTX HDR only adds HDR to games not offering it themselves. It's not enabled by default.
Also, I have not tried that, but I am considering doing so, since I don't really need HDR on desktop... might save some power to only have it in games, where I really want it, and where Windows AutoHDR might be lacking.

VRR does not require any kind of support from games. It's implemented purely at the driver level and is completely transparent to games. It works in any game, no matter how old, if the game uses a supported frame presentation method.
"Fixed refresh rate games" are those that are explicitly preventing VRR from working. I believe the Street Fighter games do that (I think Capcom claims VRR gives players a competitive advantage so they don't want it.)
