Call of Duty Warzone Huge performance drops at times and freeze ups, going to go back to previous driver

Shadow of the Tombraider dx12 crashes with this driver, I hope that F1 2020 running well, when I get my copy tomorrow. But no issues with other games so far.
Your running it Windowed, Fullscreen or Exclusive Fullscreen? It lagged in the menus when using Windowed and ended up crashing, so far it seems to run fine in Fullscreen, didn't try Exclusive. EDIT: Just ran the game while recording, it crashed after 23 minutes 🙁

Went back to using 443.24 and all is well... Test system for these was a 980 GTX / I7 / 16GB so HAGS not in use. Haven't tried the RTX system yet

Ever since the damn window$ 10 appeared, the hardware vendors lost their minds - literally hundreds of AMD's, NV's and Intel's drivers suffered and suffering with dozens of serious issues, for a few years now. All thanks to billy's gang.

JonasBeckman:

The stutter issue sounds like a odd one from the known issue entries as it sounds like it affects a fair amount of titles, some good fixes too though and maybe that one is only for when the HW scheduler option is set?
It's specific to games that use a high priority presentation thread and are being hacked into a windowed state (aka FSO), and no, it has no connection to HAGS what so ever. I can force it to occur on Windows 7 as well using a cheatengine routine that turns ACBF into windowed, natively the game only supports FSE.
JonasBeckman:

That particular one, well there might be a hotfix for it if it's that prevalent at least. 🙂
A fix is being tested and it will be in a hotfix as soon as it passes QA.
EugeneJackKhoros:

What version of PhysX is included in this package?
There isn't a newer one so don't worry, the Dell 9.20 release is purely a change in digital signatures.
mahanddeem:

I have image sharpening on 2 systems, 1080ti and 1080 in COD MW and Warzone working fine
Not without artifacts you don't.

RAGE 2 is still crashing on startup with this driver, same as with the last driver 451.48: https://forums.guru3d.com/threads/nvidia-geforce-451-48-whql-drivers-download-discussion.432980/page-6#post-5802981
You need to report it the correct way for it to be looked at. Also i think several people said they had it running fine in response to your last post, the issue is likely in your installed vulkan layers. I believe you are stuck between a rock and a hardplace because Intel are only qualifying the 530 for WDDM 2.1, mshybrid support requires both devices to be atleast wddm 2.3 or 2.4 for the handover to work thanks to the diagonal tearing fix that was introduced. Mixing 2.1 and 2.7 displays a number of issues, one of which includes Opengl and Vulkan either crashing outright, or displaying a white/black screen with audio. If you can disable the IGP in the bios, you should.
Deasnutz:

Still get huge drop in performance in RDR2 in this driver versus 445.87. Please fix
Thats an issue specific to yourself, since various videos are displaying otherwise.
loracle:

Everything was fine with 451.48
No it wasn't, these are exactly the same drops that occured in 451.48 and which only occur for FSO promoted games on dual screen systems. I can reproduce them on Win 7 using windowed fullscreen utilities of trying to watch content on a second screen btw.

Hasn't been looked at so far afaik, Manuel only first heard about it when i linked cyberfreds post to him.
PetritH:

Its linked to Raytracing, so you not having that support is the difference 🙂

cyberfredxxx:

arf , CoD MW still hangs or stuttering with RT enabled with this driver ( absoluterly no problem with 446.14 with RT enabled)
you need to use the survey to get feedback noticed, otherwise it comes down to things being directly brought to Manuels attention so he can look for other cases. As i constantly point out, the nvidia forum is not a monitored feedback location and not all replies to the driver thread stand out enough to create bug reports on. Most cases of performance reports are not actionable as they require the gpu view tracing to identify specific cases of performance loss (which nobody really ever does), where as significant reproducible cases of performance loss tied to a game setting need to be clearly described.

Seeing the comments on this as well as the previous one, i'll hold out for longer and stick with 442.59. Seems to be the smoothest driver for 1000 series.

I already reported it using the Driver Feedback Form for the past driver and for this one too. Just mentioning here in case Manuel sees it. Nobody else mentioned having RAGE 2 working in the previous driver thread: https://forums.guru3d.com/search/5191850/?q=rage&t=post&o=date&c[thread]=432980 I also found someone else with the same issue, so I doubt it's a local issue, plus it works fine with driver 446.14: https://www.reddit.com/r/XboxGamePass/comments/hf79nv/rage_2_crashing_on_startup_need_help_pc/

Huh, you're right. I mixed up a reply about RDR2.

These are running fine. Playing AC Odyssey as we speak (it's minimized) with nice fps and no issues. Digital vibrance and g-sync are working great.
Single display?
https://forums.guru3d.com/data/avatars/m/273/273678.jpg
jbscotchman:

Yes. I hooked up my old Asus monitor last week just for the heck of it, and quickly realized that 1080p/hdmi is so inferior that I can alt-tab quicker than using a second display. NVME is amazing and I understand why Sony and Epic are touting it so much, but that's a whole different topic.
Yeah i'm convinced for the most part that its only multi display configurations getting it. What happens is the game process spikes to 100% cpu for a moment locking anything else from using it, not enough to trigger a TDR, the gpu still responds to pre-emption and status requests but stuff like logitech's lcd and ctrl alt delete wouldn't respond.

P.O.N.:

Nice, nvidia is two drivers ahead of AMD. Thanks Mr. AMD
How this makes sense ? oO it makes as much sense as saying Davincis resolve is 2 updates ahead of premier thanks mr.adobe

Ah I saw that from a earlier post. Why are the developers changing these thread priorities anyway since it frequently conflicts with other threads and priorities and then why is this override opt out when it should be opt in due to the compatibility concerns although at least this is not too serious but still something I wish Microsoft altered plus made the entire thing a toggle in itself. Above average or what it's called isn't too bad but then you have high, highest and WTF are they setting it to realtime or critical or what it's called for, hah yeah that's going to stall a few things. Another Ubisoft game but I forgot which exact one - Far Cry 5? - it had this telemetry or logging thread going at that priority level which kinda improved things when it was either terminated or reduced to a less aggressive level like normal or even low priority. (Third party tools can help but really don't terminate random threads without knowing what these do just as a general bit of advice for going that route.) I prefer windowed or borderless when available but full screen exclusivity can still have it's uses and then there's this method of trying to force a borderless state for whatever reason Microsoft thought that was a great idea. (Might be compatibility with it's own overlays and other OS functionality but it really should be something users enable to utilize or toggle globally not something the users disable to opt out of or registry edit I think is how that works to disable it entirely?) SpecialK can change thread priority but that's some advanced stuff and it's best to not mess with it at random without knowing what to change such as what the thread actually is for otherwise it'll possibly crash or at worst stall or soft lock. 🙂 (One of the fixes for just the two Assassin's Creed games as I remember plus a few others that try to force higher thread priority on stuff that maybe should be left to the OS scheduler.) Also handy for setting up flip discard and a waitable swap chain but again some games or game engines don't work well with this due to limitations or problems with how they handle present interval and such. (Lots of little issues and bugs and non-standard behaviors that can happen with D3D after all or problems with the documentation or entirely undocumented features too.) EDIT: Advanced overrides are neat and all but sort of a drastic resort and changing them does require some care and knowledge on what to do as to not risk breaking stuff or crashing the software though if this can be mostly mitigated by not letting the OS trying to enforce some window mode override that's a pretty simple move. (And it really should be the reverse so users enable it but I guess Microsoft has this for some reason or another even if it's Game DVR or overlay related or something and extends outside of the UWP software too into Win32.)

Your only non-margin of error change was Farcry 5, and this has always been driver sensitive. Rebench it after building a shader cache.

They probably think "higher = better"

Does this fix the wacky performance problems in Forza Motorsport 7 that 451.48 introduced?
Try Setting ID_0x00acfcc0 = 0x00000000 in the FM7 profile? It was used in earlier drivers but got removed in r451

Are you referring to when ray tracing is enabled? If so can you record a GPUView trace log as described in the FAQ below and send it to me at driverfeedback@nvidia.com? I only need about 30 seconds worth as long as it captures the FPS drop. http://nvidia.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/3507
