I want to see some game benchmarks with the Titan V Why GF drivers if it is a AI card. Better AI in games?
It goes by the trend it always has... Titan -> xx80 / 70 / 60 / 50 etc... -> xx80Ti Titan (X) release -> 1080 / 70 / 60 /50 etc... -> 1080 Ti release (affordable Titan)... now heres where the fun starts.. they have the Titan Xp.. and the 1070Ti (because of Vega)... so a lot of variations but mostly an introduction so if it goes by the trend.. Titan V -> 2080? / 70 / 60 / 50? or will be be 1180/1170 etc.. So pretty much they're just introducing architecture.. sure its not "made" for gaming but some people will buy it and try to use it for that purpose.. same thing with the Titan line "$1,000" on release.. not really made for "gaming" then they advertise Titan Xp for VR lol..

But not the trand in performance i think cause the performance win form Maxwell > pascal was huge. Thats why i want to see some benchmark.

FO4 VR and a gsync bug fix driver, I'll skip.

so if it goes by the trend.. Titan V -> 2080?
The trend is x80 card being released before Titan so this definitely break the trend somewhat. I do expect 2080 to be faster than this Titan V in gaming too. Btw had my first UxdService hang on restart after installing these.

So titan rdy... Ok.. Will try it anyway, don't really have any issues with current 388.43 though.

Nvidia should do something about their drivers - this one doesn't interest me the slightest - G-sync fix, support for a VR game and support for the latest 3k priced card. Getting notifications from Windows and Geforce experience to update. Each one around half a gig of data. Same time old drivers remain installed and have junk in like 3-5 locations, adding up to several dozen GB of JUNK. Not excellent for solid state storage.

Thanks for the heads up! Having a great time with the 388.43. But will give this one a spin!

Oh the horror.

Half a gig, how could they, in 2017!

Or wait... are you writing this from 2007?

Several dozen = 36gb+, which is obviously not happening after a few driver installs. Regardless, SSD space is cheap, so who cares.

Well one of the machines has up-to-date Windows (10) from June 2014. There are more then one program littering, it adds up over time. Had something just short of 30GB Nvidia stuff as well. Just getting pissed over * software design and implementations sometimes (not geared towards Nvidia specifically - nothing crucial). Even over seasoned programmers more then I'd like to. Stuff lasting isn't really a concern - turn it on and off again or format ... Eating away resources - it'll even out after growing for like 3x, GC will have it under control (until something else pokes it). Fun having a little rant, in a random forum 🙂

Seeing a huge performance loss in Far Cry Primal (built-in benchmark) in low resolution here on these: https://i.picpar.com/NcBc.png Not entirely sure that it's due to the new driver though as Windows was patched a couple of times between these benchmarks. Anyone else interested in checking it out?

Has anyone tested AC 😱rigins? I seem to have the odd micro stutter again. Didn't seem to be an issue on 388.44
yeah... looks better skip these drivers

To be fair, this is the only performance loss I've ran into so far. Other D3D11 games seem to give the same results as on .31.

So far so good, got increase in most of stuff benchmarked.

Another game with a 100% reproducible performance loss - but again hard to say if it's this driver's fault as both the game and Windows were updated since the previous benchmark: https://i.picpar.com/jdBc.png
