I didn't even get to the benchmarking part cause the driver is missing 2 very important settings under desktop color 1) Digital color format 2) Dynamic range Another useless Nvidia driver EDIT:I spoke too soon the settings are there just under another tab. but im getting black screens at idle.

Is this the driver that makes sure my 780's run Witcher 3 like **** so Nvidia can pretend that Maxwell is way more efficient than it actually is?

They moved it to the resolution section of the control panel.
Really? i didn't even check, thanks a lot i will try them again. I guess i spoke too soon.

I have been waiting for AMD to update their drivers for Project Cars and add the Witcher III profile (and to fix my 200pts loss in Firestrike) and was about to post " Well done nVidia ", then I read reports such as this all over the place. Bad form nVidia....
If there would be actual proper benchmarks that would confirm such claims .. but in absence of that, trolls will be trolls. What they might not do anymore is optimize older architectures as much as newer ones for brand new games, but I highly doubt its going to run "artificially" slower with a new driver, like the trolls want you to believe.

Well this is disappointing, I was hoping to weasel away with 60fps in The Witcher 3 with a 970 using these drivers somehow. Which shouldn't be that outrageous of a hope considering these things are supposed to be towards the high end and cost a ton here. That and this game is supposed to be optimized for nVidia cards. I have all post-processing disabled, Hairworks off, shadows at low, and I still can't get steady 60fps even with this massive OC... which actually ended up crashing at the first battle scene. I wonder if that was a fluke or if the OC is not stable in this game.

Fixed Desktop Crashing Thanks To What I Read Here I usually just install drivers from the Geforce experience software or straight from the Nvidia download page. I have done so for the longest time without using DDU and have never had a problem. After reading all these posts, figured I would do it proper and reinstall that way as suggested. I am happy to report that I am 100% stable after doing so for the last few hours and games are running great. Before I could barely make it 20 seconds after loading the desktop without it crashing. Decent overclock through Afterburner is not causing any issues after the reinstall either. Thanks to everyone who suggested that!

This driver ruined everything. I'm getting blackscreens when idling for long time. Tried to disable OC but still screen turns black. NVIDIA really does not play good nowadays.
My PC just restarted so I was at stock clocks and I got the "driver failed" error after a black screen... twice in a row. I hope it's the drivers because I sure as hell don't want to have to RMA this thing, I'm already on my 3rd one.

It's the drivers, it's happening to a bunch of people. I think it has to do with their Win10 integration. It's been happening on the Windows 10 drivers for a while and now they are all under the same branch.

I don't know if it's just me but these drivers are retarded, I get the "352.85 display driver has stopped responding" message after black screen just from browsing. The OC on my cards was rock solid for months with many other drivers, I don't know what's up with these. Weirdly, I didn't get the black screen while gaming, just when browsing. :3eyes:
