Im gonna try GF variant now, kinda curious if its more then just new profiles.
:)
ye for now focus just on cpu freq. leave cache multi alone - it affects mostly internal L2, L3 cpu cache speeds, although its minimal above 4.2ghz and not worth extra voltage.
Good start is 4.7ghz @ 1.25v, I've seen most OC around this area, some 1.28v, some 1.23v, very crappy ~ 1.35v+. And in DIGI+ set cpu power current 120%, rest at auto just to be sure its not vrm power fault.
Also watch out for SVID input voltage, set it or keep it at 1.72v - 1.79v (for cpuv 1.20 - 1.29v), this should be fine up to ~1.32v, more would need up to 1.80 - 1.90v or so..
And update z97pro bios, Asus made a lot of improvements since its release.

i though SVID should be disabled when overclocking

The old NVIDIA Update is supposed to be located in the "Help" section. It's no longer available though with GeForce drivers since GeForce Experience was released, it's still not there even if you don't install GeForce Experience.

You need to install Quadro drivers, which don't contain GeForce Experience to use it.

If you want to use the old NVIDIA Update instead of GeForce Experience with GeForce drivers, you have to edit the "setup.cfg.
Where?

I checked my quadro install nvcpl and I dont have it there, but yeah I didnt install any update checking, driver only.
Well yes, but for that you need to manually enter it bellow (Svid input 1.79v is a good start, tweak this later for lower), otherwise it will default to 1.69v and that won't be enough above 1.20v+.
There is a unwritten rule ~0.50v gap between cpuv and input voltage, I saw if I keep LLC - auto I can go to 0.48v, otherwise min ~0.53v gap with LLC6 - LLC7 🙂

Ok i try something tomorrow

Oh, never mind then.

These drivers run my card at a constant 824mhz, no downclocking. Another pathetic attempt at a driver by Team Green. This on top of not knowing how to enable proper color control. Absolutely pathetic.

Sure, no problem, here it is. That is Windows 7 Pro 64 Bit, and I have SweetFX running underneath.

Absolutely no difference to the last beta for me. Identical performance in all the following games & benchmarks: 3DMark11, 3DMark Firestrike & Skydiver, F1 2012, Tomb Raider, Arkham City, Arkham Origins, Grid 2, Bioshock Infinite. Titanfall working fine too (but not really benchmarkable). No bugs so far.

Yeah after growing beards on waiting this WHQL, Beta should come really fast ,or nvidia is gonna fail...
