******FIXED******* http://www.abload.de/img/nvsq9kuo.png ******FIXED******* Seems that the problem is with permsions in UpdateUser folder. What to do get NVIDIA Update install : Execute in Admin command prompt: 
net user /delete updatususer
Then manually delete folder C:\Users\UpdatusUser. VOILA! Nvidia Update now installs successfully.

I wish they had released this driver before I actually finished Far Cry 3 a month ago. *sigh*. FWIW, performance in FC3, especially with SLI, is now almost flawless - almost, because I'm seeing some ground texture flicker during the night.

Indeed. It looks like 310.90 is the same driver with 310.70 with just added security hole fix.
How can it be the same if its from a different branch 😀 btw its not the same.
What you get for using windows 8. both amd and nvidia are having some driver issues either way. and windows 8 doesnt have safe mode by default you have to reinstall OS with that option on.
Idk im using win7 & win8 dual boot and i can access win8 safe mode menu just fine. By booting screen I just press F8 that's it. __________________ As for this driver, like i mentioned in my first post BF3 really is better (compared to both 310.33 or 310.70), im not experiencing and 5 sec stutters or really low lowest fps, but i also stopped using build-in bf3 fps limiter and started using MSI afterburner (OSD) limiter. Although winamp has the same visualization issue in win8 (i tried both geforce and 310.90 quadro variant). Will test win7 again, but i think win7 isnt affected.

^ Maybe they're more system ram & "north bridge" sensitive. Did you adjusted your voltages & ram timings a bit? So far its ok here. __________________________________ Ok SkyDrift is fixed, no more colorful flashes. 🙂 Stoked BigAir is also fine now with latest physx + that newest mini legacy installer on top of it.

Nope. I just fixed my issue here using Driver Fusion: http://forums.guru3d.com/showpost.php?p=4494286&postcount=67 Clean installations often fix or avoid a ton of issues. I wouldn't say you have to do it for EVERY driver install, but when it goes bad it does fix it most times.
I guess i have NEVER had any issues then 🙂

i enjoy windows 8 I don't see the problem :bang: as far as his drivers issues go. maybe its him. considering hes clueless on how to fix the issue. only so much we can do for him on here. if he doesn't know how to get the basic fixes in. weather it be windows 7 or windows 8 laptop. only the os is diff. and maybe some F key configs.
100% agree I also like windows 8 I have had no issues with drivers if anything have been much better than windows7/Vista release drivers

I have no stuttering anymore in battlefield 3. No more cpu spikes, runs smooth, i think better than 306.97 driver. using windows 8

Great drivers on win 8 however the flashing bridges/buildings at certain angles in guild wars 2 is still there. Anyone else notice it at all? I don't think it was happening with the 306's

I've got a couple of driver stopped responding errors with these and the previous driver. No artifacts and normal temperatures (up to 75). I hope it's just the driver, can't afford new hardware right now.

Only found one issue with these drivers, physx and dll files. Tried to play jericho , turok and apb and it said certain dll files were missing. so i had to uninstall physx and reinstall it and everything is fine. Weird tho, but all is well.

ok can someone help me? Its strange. I installed these drivers, they play fine and when I restart my pc all is ok. It is only when i shut down my pc then turn it on, windows starts but the driver is gone and it says i have to install them since no vga detected...
Happening to me too, from a clean installation. Restarting the PC fixes it but it's still annoying.

I have had a problem too, after installing the drivers, i couldn't launch the nvidia 3d settings (black screen and application stopped), i just had to restart the computer and now everything is OK.

Gw2 seems to go to black screen to me when I alt tab, out or exit the game have to bring up the task manager to for explorer to appear. on Windows 8, 2x 680GTX SLI

I've seen a few people say that when playing Battlefield 3 the game seems to run slightly stuttery. I too have seen this with these new drivers but I have also seen it running butter smooth. This leads me to believe that it is not the drivers but more of a server problem. I played several hours yesterday on Caspian Border and some Aftermath. I noticed stuttering on some servers but nothing on others. Just food for thought 🙂
