this game was underwhelming and came out of greenlight missing features i expected to be key gameplay, such as co-op play (the escape pod was even designed for 2 people)

Nothing really free here. Epic paid off developers for "free" games and for exclusivity so they publish on Epic store instead of Steam. When you dig deeper into this matter there are a lot of ugly truths. Basically this is a trap so people install Epic launcher, because over wise no one would touch it except Fortnite players who don't care about buying games.

Yeah, its not that bad. My friend is playing it lately as well as 7 days to die but i could not force myself it try it.

During next year, there should be a free game every other week, so 26 in total, because they want to attract people. Just make isthereanydeal.com or similar site as default page, and won't miss any game.

Has anyone found out how not to get Fortnite forced into downloading with the store? Only way I found was halting the download and then deleting the game from account's inventory. Why would they need to push Fortnite in such a way if it is as popular as the media would like everyone to believe. Either way have Subnautica installed. As far as UT, UT3 was ok but still have all original six cds of UT2004. Have all the patches and additional content saved and play that still to just zone out and relax at times.

I would take a guess at that they force Fortnite on you. There is no way to download the launcher without Fortnite getting downloaded as well. That is just plain arrogance and stupidity on Epic's end.

Just kidding it's a great game and if all you have to put up with is another game launcher to get it it is well worth the 'trouble' 'hassle' 'problems' I dunno, whatever the issue is with Epic's game launcher that is making everyone not want to install it. Of course it could be a hook first game is a fantastic game with the promise of further free games every fortnight (HA I see what they did there) if you keep the launcher and then they just follow it up with low effort trash.

Plus given my first post in the thread projected no hate. Stating that someone's actions as being arrogant is not hate unless such comments are motivated from such a state. Which is not the case regarding my comment. The second post has a negative vibe to it. Will grant that. But hate is nowhere to be found. So to see hate were it does not exist and to place oneself out side of that perceived hate is nothing but being self-congratulatory by pointing out "look how good I am." Must be very pleased with yourself to be able to point out what does not exist.

Few days ago, installed (a free) UT. So far, so good - no spyware, no bloatware or anything unpleasant... Back to the days of old, but in a nicely refreshed and polished garment;)

Gave it a try for a couple of hours, but i can't seem to enjoy it due to the tedious inventory management. The game needs item stacking... sadly enough there is no mod for that.
