Every few months they come out with a new area and charge $8 ish USD and then weapons pack and other stuff. It’s perfectly playable without purchasing that stuff but one can’t help but be a bit turned off by the constant paid addons.

This is a bit to "slow" for my liking (as in i dont really have the patience) I tried it a long time ago, followed tracks etc but took me like an hour to even spot an animal. Not to compare them but i really enjoy the hunting in rdr2, not very complicated yet still well made, just my opinion.

For us, the hunt is a question of security, if there was no hunt, there would be a lot of human attacked and animal species that would deseapear... Most Hunters are also ecologist, despite the over 500 wild boar killed by season look horrible for the tourist, it is necessary to keep the ecosystem in a good shape. The hunt is not a safari (rules are clear on that point).
