I get why the 4090 is more expensive, its faster but with this MOBO there seems no more functionality than the top end £500 boards.
imho, it's all about e-peen and one-up-man-ship these are the same guys who buy the sparkly crystal G. Skill RAM instead of the T Group with the same timings or who would buy an NZXT aio when there are better for less

I'll toss one up in defense: A motherboard like that doesn't even need a case! Everything is enclosed and wrapped; you don't see a single trace! Having an open system just sitting on the table like that won't look like a lab!

haha, never tried wagyu and im not gonna buy this motherboard so i'll never know 😀
Aussie Wagyu was banned here and black market Aussie Wagyu is dirt cheap now so yeh... predatory corporatist at work, again... MSI = remember they were scalping their OWN GPUs during crypto?! Never forget greed comes first. Asrock Taichi Lite or OC Formula would be up there for a fraction of the price.(I hope).

My MSI B650 Tomahawk is not in a case. Literally 35 USD open frame. Still cannot justify over 1000 Euros/USD difference for a metal plastic MB condom....

Its all about the chicks, the reason male birds are always more colorful than their female counterparts. I just let my dashing good looks, charm, wit and charisma do the work #stillsingle o_O

True business greed, at its finest, is ensuring your primary product becomes a necessity, you then introduce a secondary product to alleviate any issues created by the primary. Let me give you an example. Philip Morris is the worlds largest tobacco producer, Philip Morris a few years ago acquired a company that produces drugs that treat tobacco related diseases, now that is genius. Another example, Nestle is (i believe) the worlds largest food producer (it only produces processed food by the way) the increasing consumption of which has globally fuelled a huge increase in obesity and metabolic related disease, but they also own a number of companies who produce 'healthy' food options (they really are not healthy but that's a whole different subject). So, NVidia give us a GPU range with gutless midrange cards and limited VRam, but then drop in DLSS and other such technology.

My exhaust was nearly £2500k including the Sports Cat and carbon tips (x 3) but its custom made and TIG welded, made to order stuff is never cheap so i understand where the money goes. Also it adds significantly to the performance as without a larger bore exhaust, a remap is less efficient as is an improved intake system. Its a bit like running a 4090 with 8gb RAM or an Intel 2700k. I get why the 4090 is more expensive, its faster but with this MOBO there seems no more functionality than the top end £500 boards.
About right on the exhaust, 3" downpipe with a race cat was around $1500 for my GTI. I kept the stock muffler, I like the sound and it doesnt drone on the highways. I welded in a new sensor boss location tho, as I found the one it came with in a vulnerable place. I broke the stock one off once too, on fast gravel roads. I also had to weld the Turbo flange once, as I cracked that too.

Mine was the updated FK8 Civic so had an added Petrol Particle Filter, i got rid of that and also the other mid pipe silencer. I did run a decat but the sound was a little excessive to be honest. I only drive it maybe once a week, mostly Saturday and I leave early, there's only four houses in our gated area and I think I was waking everybody up with the cold idle ha ha ha.

-copper is expensive -more connections two USB4 40Gbps ports, five USB-C 10Gbps ports, eight USB-A 10Gbps ports (shame about the 5ghz lan port) -godlike brand
Huh? Why is there no 10GbE port? I've noted that my GB X570 Aorus Xtreme has an "AQUANTIA® 10GbE BASE-T LAN + Intel® Gigabit LAN with cFosSpeed" and mine is a couple of generations older. Back then, I'd paid about 800USD for it, but the new prices for such flagship X870E mobo is just.....extreme?

when i count the amount of money some drop on case/cooler/fans/large high refresh screens, i rather save on those, and add it to my mb fund. this is as clean as it gets, when it comes to wiring, without the need for (major) other changes. sure its expensive, but i doubt those will sell in large numbers, while you still have cost to make them. similar with some +1M supersport/hypercars, which tend to be more expensive just because they have lower production numbers, are using different materials (transmission screws from a veyron cost 75K alone), and not because someone is filling their pockets (more than usual), and with the Veyron VW didnt even make money (lost 1-3M per car). and ppl dont by those because they are 10x faster/10x better than your avg 50K car, its because they like it and have the funds to do so, the same way i would probably get this, if i still had my previous job (income).

Evidently, they have to pay for all those USB C ports, by passing on the cost to the end users...
