EA still manages to piss off players, they just blame piracy when infact it's their poor quality overpriced games. £50 for the standard edition, get ****ed EA

The best part is everyone and their dogs know that this DRM will do NOTHING at all to pirates. The only thing DRM has ever done is kick the legitimate customers in the dick. That's it.

Wonder how long it will take from people to realize not buy anything from EA. Im just stunned, are people not reading anything from internet when they keep buying or what is it. Maybe in few years you have to buy same game 3 times for 60$ to even play it + 20$ monthly fee + DLC for every single item in game before people open their eyes.
The thing is I hardly have any issues with DRM's in fact its rare for me to have any issues in regards to DRM's stopping me from playing the games I buy. Thats why I have no problem with DRM being used. But I won't stop playing games just because they use them. If I followed every one else that did that, then I might as well just stop playing gaming all together and move on to console gaming which I have no interested to go back into. There are things that will stop me from buying a game of course but it takes alot more then DRM to make me vote with my wallet alot more. Games with false Co-op usually be the first ones to make me run the other way. When they mention that the game have co-op and i find out it you fighting swarms with your buddies for 10+ rounds that has nothing to do with the game. But I will never boycott a company when it comes to games, I would only boycott a company when it about something that harms people health. If I boycott companies over DRM then would only have one company left and I don't like The Witcher series of games and I not about to play only indie games. I have no issues at all with DLC's it just some times they cost way more then they should for certain games. I rarely buy DLC's usually if I do its because there 35 or 99 cent from a steam sale and usually for payday 2. Other times it Borderlands 2, but now I usually wait for a game of the year edition before I do. There is dragonball Z related exceptions which I then play to downbelow and back kicking Cell teeth in with SSJ4 Gogeta. They better not start doing 60 dollars 3 times in a roll to play game, that alone would make me go no where near the game. The monthly wouldn't as I used to play alot of P2P mmos years ago so I'm used to paying monthy.

I'm not a hardcore gamer....hell, these days, I'm barely a gamer at all. I haven't really upgraded in a few years either. I do, however, change video cards like I change my socks. Sometimes 3-4 times a day. The first time I get a message saying I've changed hardware too many times, I'll be having a very long, drawn out discussion about the issue with EA and removing every EA game I have installed. As it stands, I buy games very infrequently. I usually buy a new game every year or 2....sometimes I go 3 years. With the number of games I own that I haven't completed, I'm good for the next decade or so.
Pretty much the same here. Sh*t like this always makes me think of an old friend, he already warned me about EA 12 years ago...
I thought you were giving up gaming?

They also have limited the number install of DeadSpace 1,2,3, Need for Speed Shift 1,2. I didnt even know that till it happened. Can only install 5 times. It also did it on Need For Speed Hot Pursuit 2010. I was very pissed about it. Had to contact EA support to get this fixed. I redo windows alot as I play around with stuff alot. Cant believe we still have this kinda bullsh*t DRM around. I have two gaming pc's and like having my games on each to test them out between them and to stream games from my single monitor rig to my phone. EA you seriously suck with this bullcrap.

Stop. Buying. Their. Games. How do you not understand this yet?

just another reason why we as consumers should stop supporting EA. let their stock shares drop, piss off their shareholders, board members fire the CEO and hopefully a new one will finally change things for the better.
Hate tell you this but it shareholders that are root cause of the problem in first place. The problem as long they keep sky high price they always going pirates. I don't buy any EA game and haven't got any in 5 years

EA its in the game! there is reason why I dont buy EA games atlest for the PC SWTOR being the exception due to it being closets i was getting to kotor 3, but swtor is mmo EA been on my no game list since the castrated and destroyed C&C franchise, and what EA game i am intrested in I get for consoles simple to avoid this crap which just the dragon age series at this point, and i didnt even get DA:I yet I just got around to get DA:2 and that long before EA went insane with there DRM.

Good! I want to see them being honest and $#@ing up big franchises like Battlefield and Sims and FIFA, instead of experimenting by torpedoing small games like Anno

I haven't had that issue with Crysis Games yet. I did buy them on steam though. Personally I dont see 1 problem with cracking a game if you legally already bought it. Ive had to do it with Shift 1 cause of this. I have a vanilla copy that is backed up on a drive cause I have mine heavily modded to make it a much better game. I personally dont buy EA games at full price. I wait till they are dirt cheap. I paid $6 for each Shift game, Dead Space games all under $10. I didnt even pay $40 for BF4 digital deluxe Feb 2014.

They prob saw the crap sales and thought it was piracy
I very highly doubt that. Even though it would be funny. A pirated copy removes said hardware limit, that's the point of the crack. And like any modern online game, cracked copies do not permit online play thanks to login Accounts associated with keys. This is more likely a very bad attempt at preventing people from sharing legitimate copies of the game. One account for one person, one copy of a game for one person- it's very appealing to some companies. Yet another reason why I still think Valve is still a better company, their family sharing on Steam works against this thinking and functions great.

Looks like EA is gunning for the day in which the only people running its games are hackers and pirates. (Paying customers love jumping through hoops just to play the game they paid for. Good job, EA.../sarcasm) Some publishers make profits in spite of themselves, so I guess EA is only interested in the lowest profits the company can attain. Here's a suggestion: cut the price in half, scrap the DRM, and watch as sales triple (at least.)

You'd think limiting the account usage to one connection at a time would be enough. I'd like to know what EA has to say about this.

"at what point will the industry realize they are killing the PC game market themselves?" - HH Well said!
